I've been using this for two years, and it is hands down the best glucometer I've ever used. No more poorly-designed, cheaply made, expensive, giant plastic gizmos with bad user interfaces that feel like they were designed 20 years ago. No more depending on insurance companies to tell me which overpriced strips they will pay for, then change their minds a year later. The iHealth glucometer is inexpensive, the strips are inexpensive (and can be shipped the same day to me if I get in a bind), and the iHealth app is very modern and well designed. I have Amazon send me recurring shipments of the strips and tweaking your deliveries is very easy.These days my Type 1 Diabetes management is all done on my phone. I use the My Fitness Pal app to count carbs, the iHealth app to test my blood sugars, and RapidCalc to do my insulin calculations. My A1C has literally never been this good. Switching to this glucometer and this process is the best thing I've ever done for my diabetes aside from the brief period I was able to afford a pump.I'm on my second iHealth glucometer (lost the first while traveling - yes they are small and cheap enough to travel with a backup!). In the two full years I've been using these, I have not experienced any of the inaccurate measurements that others have claimed here. I can't explain those reviews. I will say that with my old iPhone it was a little harder for the camera to read the QR code in darker rooms, but haven't had any problems with my iPhone 7. I keep the app on my wife's phone in case something happens to mine.I encourage every diabetic I know to look into this. Take control of your health and your money.

Awesome device and super super cost effective. I use this on my Android device (Galaxy Note3) and have been nothing but amazed and impressed with number one it's cost and second it's performance. Works as promised. I was leary from reading all the negative reviews (I read all of them!) but discerned a common thread in them which made me comfortable going ahead and purchasing this anyway.The first thing to do is MAKE SURE you have a compatible Android device. This won't work properly on all Android systems. I have Lollipop OS version. The second reason people have problems is if they have "Power Saving" mode or a power saving app running. I did have the same issues some described when not turning OFF Power Saving before attaching the reader. The third and maybe the biggest reason people had issues is that demographically they may be older and just not "tech friendly" (if you get my drift)!After using this a couple days and figuring it out, I can now get my little carry case that comes with it that has the reader, my strips and lances plug it in, poke and read in just 2 minutes.The BIGGEST BENEFIT is the simply RIDICULOUS price of their test strips! No longer having to pay $50 is just AMAZING.

I evaluated this product alongside of my verified known working glucose monitor that I will call my control unit:I will say that I liked the concept of it being able to run on my iPhone app and headphone jack; however, my test results were 80 to 150 mg/dl higher on this unit. When I was close to a low blood sugar this result from iHealth product could have been disastrous. What I did was, waited, felt the low blood sugar, tested again on both control device and this unit and got the expected results only from my control unit. I then treated the low.After four weeks, I decided to continue only using the manual input iPhone app and destroyed the iHealth unit and remaining test strips.I honestly like the products size, concept and portability. I did not like the inaccurate results as compared to my control unit.I'd like to see improvements made before I attempt to try the product again. It was a net loss of about $60 for me for unit and strips. i did not return product to Amazon for credit nor did I reach out to developer of app or manufacturer as I am a 49 year old type 1 diabetic this is well versed in testing, care of my IDDM, etc.I mean no harm to the company and will provide my test results to them as needed showing comparison between their unit and control.Thanks for reading.

le doy las 5 estrellas ya que me pare genial lo pequeño y manejable , ademas de lo practico .y lo que no me gusta es la pagina web ya que aunque se guarde la contraseña siempre la vuelve a pedir al igual que te reenvia un codigo para poder entrar , y se lo recomendaria a todo el que tenga probleamas de glucemia, ya que es facilicimo

Non c'è modo di fare funzionare il dispositivo. Mi sono punto 7 volte le dita per provare a fare funzionare il dispositivo, ho buttato via un sacco di sangue e strisce per nulla. Non lo ricomprerei per niente al mondo

Pequeño, práctico y fácil de usar, pero muy inexacto e impreciso. En una serie de seis medidas hechas en un lapso de 10 min mostró variación de hasta 33 puntos. Algo no aceptable en un dispositivo que analiza tu salud. Las lancetas y tiras son caras.
