Lovely book!
This will be so helpful in planning our trip to Amsterdam. It has all kinds of little out of the way, handcraft-y places to visit. We try to find places like this and avoid the standard tourist-traps.

Back in time
love this small handy book, plan to take it along when we visit Amsterdam, my parents were born there, my grandparents owned their own shops and my great grandfather was a builder and his buildings still remain standing. Can't wait to explore all the unique shops that are hidden down the narrow streets. I especially want to explore the button shop, as I too make things with buttons, so looking forward to our travel back in time.

it's okay....
I bought this because I have her Paris book which I LOVE and which is a fabulous inspiration. Sadly, the Amsterdam book is less interesting for me. Right now it is packed up and not accessible so I can't give specific examples, however I really can recommend the Paris one which is a joy to read.

not what i expected
it's a nice "little" book.i think is too little, though.the images don't show enough. it is certainly poetic and interesting, but i was very excited and intrigued by the title, so when it arrived, i couldn't help but to be a little disappointed.

Great Gift for Crafty People
I have a friend who designs and creates her own jewelry- and is generally a crafty tinkerer. She LOVES this book- ecstatically so. She said it even gave her creative ideas on some of her pieces- which turned out to be her MOST popular.

Teeny Tiny Picture Book
I got this as a present for a friend, but I am almost embarrassed to give it to him. I thought I was getting a beautiful picture book, but instead it's a pocket guide.

Amsterdam: Made by Hand
Excellent, it reveals all the little boutique shops that you need to check. Specially if you are looking for unique creative things. It's a pocket size book.

A lovely walk around Amsterdam
This book is a really good size for fitting in your bag while you wander the streets of Amsterdam. I found the descriptions of each area of Amsterdam really useful and the shops all look interesting and there's a good diverse range of different boutiques. This is primarily a shopping guide rather than a city guide but the author includes her top places to go in each area. If you are looking for a different wander around Amsterdam, off the tourist trail then this book is a good start. Beautiful photography and nice descriptions of each boutique.

I also have her book Paris made by hand which is equally delightful. -- I also have her book "My heart wanders" That was the first book of Pia's that I read and it drew me in to want more. .

This is a great find. It is such a pity that the author has moved back to Australia. I hope she has the time to write other books on places down under. The shops were a treasure trove of genuine local, hand-made art and crafts.

Beautiful little book
I bought this as I not only love photography but was soon to be off to Amsterdam. Fills both camps and helped me source particular places to see and to get the feel or Amsterdam. Makes a perfect memento too.

Saunter through the inner lanes of Amsterdam
This is a visually intriguing little book which allows you to windowshop from afar. It will intrigue and have value to both those wishing to be inspired by other artists and also those who wish to plan their itinerary while travelling through Amsterdam. I loved having a sneak peak into the worlds of these artisans.
