Black Beauty Hardcover – November 6, 2018

I bought this book for my great-granddaughter's birthday. We told her that I had read it and so had her great-great grandmother. She was very impressed. Worthy of being a classic, for all those girls of a certain age who are crazy about horses and learning about life.

My 7 year old daughter loves horses and loves this book. As soon as it came in the mail, she read the entire thing right away. The story is perfect for her age and the illustrations are pretty.

Great quality. My daughter (4yo) loves this story and this is her favorite version.

Not quite the story I remembered - maybe ok for young child but i’m Looking for a replacement that is more true to the original.

Not the original

This is a lovely book. It's a very much shortened and simplified version of the original with gorgeous pictures throughout. But it has all the elements of the original story, as beautifully told as the original and perfect as an introduction to reading and to this wonderful old classic for my young grandchildren. I love it!
