I have used this unit often since I purchased it. It does wonders for pain relief and provides you with a wide range of options to create your own comfort level. Excellent quality and I purchased some additional pads directly from TruMedic and they offer excellent customer service and support. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I just got this in and this Tens unit works great. I ordered it in due a recent problem with one knee. (Excess pain in that knee.) This seems relieve the pain. But you have to be careful where you place the electrodes. Placing the electrodes on tender skin can also be painful.I have also had a problem with pain in one hand off and on for years. This gets rid of the pain in that hand for at least a day.Turn it on. Select the pre-programmed type of therapy that you want, or use the manual selection buttons. Then adjust the intensity and sit back. It defaults to 20 minutes before it automatically turns off, although you can set the timer.The electrodes come coated with a sticky gel and are stuck to a piece of plastic.Hang onto the plastic. It a handy way of storing the electrodes when they are not being used. You will also need to buy some extra gel. The gel is used to stick the electrodes to your skin.I reduced this by one star and considered reducing it by two stars for several reasons.1.) I don't think that this unit is worth the difference in price from the $40 model. From my understanding, both will work fine.2.) The zipper case that comes with this package won't hold everything. (This is a minor frustration.)3.) The company website in the instruction book does not exist. They ask you to register the unit at a different website where they claim to upgrade you from a 90 day warranty to a 1 year warranty. Upon registration, all they ask for is your name and email address. No model number or address, or anything else. Plus, I get security warnings that the registration website has a bad reputation for sending spam. (This is the one that concerns me the most. In registering, I used an alternate email address instead of my main email address.)(I uploaded a photo, but forgot to include the zipper case in the photo.)My final thoughts on this Tens unit is that it works well, but I wouldn't count on any warranty for it.*******************Update. September 17, 2016I have had this unit for nearly one and a half years now, and I just raised from 4 stars to 5 stars.It still works, although I discarded the case in favor of a moisture proof kitchen storage case. (Number on concern for most people.)This provides temporary relief from arthritis pain in my knee and foot.It has variable range of settings, and can be adjusted for different parts of the body due to the internal processor. It uses a different rhythm of stimulation for different parts of the body. (There is a warning to not use it on or around your head.)It has a 20 minute max timer before it shuts off.As for the value compared to the cheaper units?I don't know.I suspect the cheaper units would work equally as well. This uses electronic impulses to simply simulates the nerve endings on the skin. Increasing the power will produce a more dramatic simulation. In hard muscle areas, I can usually turn it all of the way up. But in soft skin areas, (using a line that someone else said.) you can turn it up enough to fell like you was hit by a taser.The pads will lose there ability to cling to the skin. Make sure you purchase one of the gels to renew the pads ability to cling to the skin. I am still using the original pads nearly 1.5 years after purchase.

Best money I’ve ever spent. In the last two months I’ve seen my chiropractor, on average, three times a week. I asked him about TENS. He said it’s a great device, but you get what you pay for. After researching, I found one rating list that had the truMedic in second place ... behind some Swedish device selling in the $800 range. Short story ... I took it to my chiro. He looked at the instruction book and exclaimed that it looked like the real deal. Was surprised when I told him about $120.Anyway, that’s the last time I’ve seen him. I go to bed with it on so that when the inevitable back pain makes it an excruciating chore to go to the bathroom, I just snap it on ... fairly high power, and I’m able to make the trip, and after a few minutes my back falls into place. BTW, I only wear two pads, and I’m still ion the first. I did buy the gel that rejuvenates them. Oh, my chiro said you can hue it anywhere (But not head or heart) and sometime the results are surprising ... also, save for the brain and heart caveat, you cannot hurt yourself with TENS.BEST EVER

This tens unit is far better than another, similarly high priced, unit I'd bought. It's better, too, than truMedic's less expensive model, which has intensity controls that are too easily changed when they shouldn't be.The range of programs is really excellent. And they are very easy to choose and set. On my other unit, a friend of mine, who can put anything together, couldn't figure out how to set the programming sequences. So now, I can only control the intensity and program length on that unit, which I rarely use anymore.The intensity levels on this unit are absolutely superb--strong and fast ramp up to desired intensity. The highest levels are way beyond my current needs.The control buttons are too soft for me. The unit can easily be switched off inadvertently if I put it in my pocket. I'd appreciate a firmly attached belt clip.Locating the lead jacks at the top juncture points doesn't make good sense, very vulnerable I think.Last, I wish they'd supply or sell much shorter lead wires. I carry this unit or keep it in my pocket throughout the day and evening. Having two lumpy tied up leads dangling or stuffed into another pocket is a real pain.This unit despite these flaw is a five star product and does a great job.

I bought the truMedic TM-1000Pro Deluxe Tens Unit unit to replace an old Tens Unit (different brand) that I had gotten by prescription a number of years ago because my old unit stopped working. This Tens unit is perfect for my needs. I have arthritis in my back and use it at work and home when my arthritis causes pain. The unit is packaged well and very easy to use. It arrived with a full battery charge and everything I needed to use it immediately. The Seller shipped the unit immediately and it arrived when it was promised. The unit is well constructed and seems very durable. It is about the size of a standard television remote. It comes with a rechargable battery that has lasted 24 hours (with intermittent use) for me between recharging. It recharges quickly and is very portable. The quality is excellent and it is far superior to the one I had purchased several years ago with a prescription. I would buy this unit again!

I'm not usually one to want to make a statement, but this unit has helped me so much I feel compelled to share my experience with others.I have had problems with muscle spasms in my shoulders and upper back for years. I've been to chiropractors, acupuncturists, physical therapists, as well as been prescribed a wide variety of meds and really have not had any significant relief without a lot of side effects (drowsy, time off work, office visit expense, etc).Then, I heard about this Tens Unit from a friend and thought I'd give it a try. And most importantly, it definitely reduces my pain.I especially like having the ability to use it at work. Rather than having to pop pain meds, I hook up to the electrodes and get relief discreetly and with no side effects.

I have only had this unit for 1 day. I am using it in conjunction with prescribed meds for pain. The meds alone are not enough for me to lessen the pain of osteoarthritis in both knees. Surgery is not an option right now. I am getting relief, finally, from the constant ache whenever I walk and sometimes even at rest. The really cool part is that you can treat 2 areas of the body at once, if the cord reaches, and control each area separately. I am pleased with my results. I love the various settings. I can control the intensity as well. This unit can be very customized. I would definitely recommend getting one of this if you are in pain.There is one con though, hence the 4 stars. The case that is included will not hold everything. A bummer for sure. But, I would still say the unit is worth the price.

So it's vital to treat pain naturally.At first I looked at all these buttons and thought it could be confusing. But, it's super easy. Just push the button labeled where the pain is. For example, if you have back pain, you push the "back" button, then adjust the intensity for the "A" and "B" channel. I have upgraded my rate from 3 to 4 stars. This is an excellent product. My wife is extremely happy with the way it works. The first unit sent was missing the leads and the case was dirty. Obviously it was opened and resold to us. Not happy about that, however, I chatted with Amazon and another brand new one was sent to us the very next day. That is why I upgraded our experience from 3 to 4 stars. If I was sent a brand new one right from the get go, I would have given this a 5 star. Focus on the product, not on the inconvenience of having to wait one day for a new one. This is a great product (according to my wife). Much better than our last tens because there are more functions and this tens is by far more powerful. Great product....

I'm so happy with my new product. I bought this tens unit for my husband as a Christmas present and he loved it!He is 75 years old and has some ache and pains here and there, at our age some muscles complaint more often than not. Although, he does not suffer of a permanent injury or chronic pain like some other people, he uses this unit is for a daily massage and to relief tension.I really like the zippered carrying case it came with, I will be able to keep all the parts in one convenient place. It is big enough for my hands (I have arthritis) and have no problem with the size of the buttons. The battery stays charged for a good amount of time. Depending on the muscle, he has not been able to go past 8 in intensity, it is very powerful.He has been using the machine almost daily since he got it, I am waiting for my turn...I am glad I bought it.

I have been battling a shoulder issue for about a year now. I have debated surgery, but the rehab from shoulder surgery is about 8 months and I cant be sidelined that long. I found the TruMedic Deluxe Tens unit when a friend told me about it. It took me about a month to finally order it. A month I wish I had back. I started using the unit and after about a week of using it my right shoulder pain decreased noticeably. The morning was the worst for the pain. Starting at about 3am, I would start turning in bed like a rotisserie chicken trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. I am starting to sleep much better now and surgery is the last thing on my mind. I will continue to use the TruMedic on my shoulder as well as my right knee. Unlike my younger paintball opponents, as I get older and continue shooting them on the field, I hurt more and more after each session. On top of that, pain hangs around longer than it used to. About a year ago, my wife bought me the truMedic regular tens unit, I used it a lot and it worked great , but I didn't like having to change batteries and restarting the timer after using it for 15 minutes . A while ago I called the company and they told me they were coming out with this unit, which is rechargeable and can last for TWO HOURS at a time. Yaay! Now I use it to death and recharge the battery, so I can keep going. Now, it's me, my Tippmann Marker and my truMedic TM-1000PRO. Watch out rookies, this old stallion still has some life left in him after all! I really love this thing and I'm so glad I waited.

This product is phenomenal. I was seriously injured over 10 years ago, shoulder, neck and back. And always found relief using tens units. I was fortunate enough to pretty much be able to get any unit I wanted at much higher prices. My wife heard about this unit and we gave it a try. We found it literally out performs units four times its price. It's incredible, lightweight and durable. Goes really long on a single charge. Provides me relief for when my pain meds can no longer keep up. Can't say enough positive. This is my second unit because I always want to have one handy if I'm out. I told one of their company representatives about how impressed I was. That was my first one last June. And now I want to let anyone know who's suffering chronic pain this is the way to go.

I’ve had this for over a month and a half, and have used it nearly everyday 20-40 min each time. I’ve only charged it twice; once when I first received it and once at the month mark.-It’s powerful, can’t get past 10 on most of my body parts.-The preprogrammed settings make it easy to use.-it’s compact, lightweight and fits in my pocket. It’s about the size of a universal remote control.-The pads are holding up wonderfully. However, I usually clean and prep the area before I apply the pads.-So far I’ve used this to help heal my tennis elbow/bursitis; manage my knee pain; strained back; and sore abdominals.I love this thing, and just bought anther one for my sister!!

So far so good, I am enjoying the Tens unit. I use it for both herniated disks in my neck and a neuroma in my foot. As for my foot and the neuroma, I have gotten steroid shots in it, they work but the Tens unit is where the money is. I use it for 30 minutes on my foot before going to bed and the next day my foot does not experience any discomfort. Before the Tens unit, I was in pain all day with my foot. As far as my neck, pretty much the same, this unit is GOLD. Hopefully it last longer than a year, I don't like things that break easily.
