A coffee table book for art-to-wear
Beautiful photos of art-to-wear. Although the volume feels weighted toward the shibori technique, there are other techniques present that will make you cry, they are so beautiful. This is purely a gallery, no instructions are given, but what a gallery!

Primary Fiberart regarding Silk & Velvet
If you are working with silk or velvet as your medium, you will enjoy this book. However, if you are a fiber artist who works with animal fiber, roving, top, wet/dry felting, nuno this book only has one reference in photos. I found it lacking for my needs.

FAntastic, inspirational book
Wonderful coffee-table style book for leafing through when you're stuck for inspiration. Also a great book for anyone who's got the money to collect wearable art. I just loved the techniques people use in this book and the sheer beauty of the clothes they produce. Beautiful.

I love this book
I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this book as previous books I've seen on wearable art have been very disappointing, showing clothes that could only be called "wearable" by a big stretch of the imagination. I had bought a Fibrearts magazine, which impressed me, so I ordered this book too, and it's BRILLIANT. Beautifully photographed, amazing garments that are definately wearable, and a piece on each artist. For anyone interested in wearable art this is a wonderfully inspiring book. The only improvement would have been some extra information about the methods used to create these works of art, but I expect I'm just being greedy.A lovely book, well worth a place in your collection.

inspirational
i first saw this book while exploring complex cloth and bought it two years later as my dressmaking skills have caught up. while some of the garments have dated, the value of seeing what remains a classic silhouette and style is immense. the many designers featured mean anyone interested in creating artwear should find something to inspire, and of course these designers have gone on to make more work, so students can see stages of professional development if they follow them up. a book to get you into the studio!
