* Pictures are of colored slime and urea crystalsI was impressed with the quality of this crystal and slime chemistry set. Instructions were doable and the scientific explanations were written in an easy to understand manner. Included is a slime making booklet and a crystal making booklet. Needed from home ingredients for the 4 crystal making experiments are : sugar, salt, a stapler, a non-permanent marker and dish washing liquid. Urea and salt are used to make the crystals. . There are 3 urea crystals and one salt crystal experiment. The urea crystals started to form in less than an hour for us.For the 5 slime making labs you will need from home : milk, lemon juice or vinegar, and corn starch. Calling this a slime kit is a little misleading I think because there is only one slime making lab and that is using PVA glue and borax. There is no coloring dye in this kit but my daughter likes her slime colored so she dyed it blue with food coloring we had on hand. The other experiments are making "bouncing" ball out of PVA glue, separating milk proteins from milk, making cornstarch oobleck and an acid/base neturalization which has nothing to do with slime making. My daughter enjoyed doing this kit.

I purchased this kit because I thought everything was included to complete the science experiments. If you read further under product details it does state you need household ingredients as well. It states there are 11 projects but there are actually only 2 experiments and a book to complete more. The only experiment you can do with the included ingredients is the slime. It’s not like the slime kits you’re used to. This slime is firmer and ends up in tiny pieces. The Crystal experiment requires extra household ingredients.

My children had recently discovered how to make slime at home, and I had a friend recommend that I try this product. My children enjoyed every last step, especially the crystal growing. Each and every day they were fascinated with how much the crystals grew, and were amazed at how they seemingly kept growing, even after they stopped. The slime making was a specially fun, and the instructions were very clear and concise. I ran into a small problem with some materials, but after contacting the company the issue was quickly and easily resolved. The customer service was fantastic, and they thanked me for my feedback.The science behind this is incredible, and if you have kids that enjoy making things and being proud of what they made, this is definitely the product for you and your kids. Even I had fun!

Click-A-Brick delivers yet another awesome product! The book brings the child through a series of simple experiments and guides them through the scientific process rather than just telling them. The steps become more and more involved and allows the young adult to practice observation, prediction, educated explanation (hypothesis), experimentation, and results comparison. One experiment takes a little bit of patience (crystal growth), but the other has immediate results and can has great repeatability! The kit comes with plenty of reagents (materials that make the experiments work) so it's not a "one-and-done" like many other chemistry kits. My nephew can't wait for the next sets from Click-A-Brick! Thanks!

This was an awesome science kit for the kids! Comes with two sets of experiments, growing crystals and making slime, along with two separate instruction booklets which are very detailed, easy to follow and read. There are even sections in there to take notes on their experiments to compare results. The set has 5 experiments for the slime portion and 6 for the crystals. All in all - great set for kids interested in science and how chemicals react with one another. Most importantly - it keeps them busy!!

My grandson is 5 soon to be 6, but not reading, much better for kids who are already readers. But we've made slime together, which he had a lot of fun with, the bouncy ball didn't bounce, will have to try that again. Haven't tried the crystals yet.

Extremely well-done chemistry set for my 8-year-old grandson. My chemist daughter also liked the scientific and lab-practice accuracy of the instructions. There were lots of enrichment instructions too, for use beyond this set with common ingredients. A+ for parents who want a set that is both fun and uses correct science and lab technique.
