BLACKSTRAP Hood Balaclava Face Mask, Dual Layer Cold Weather Headwear for Men and Women

The Blackstraap Balaclava fits well. I wear an XL size hat and I had no issues pulling this item on my head. I tested it on a day when it was in the 20s while taking my morning walk. My head stayed warm but not hot. The only issues I had were 1) When pulled over the nose the fit is not tight or contoured enough for a good seal resulting in my sunglasses fogging up continuously. 2) The outer side of the fabric is too slick to allow a wool watch cap/toboggan to stay in place. I t kept riding up. Overall this is a good product with the two exceptions.

I went through about 5 balaclava before finding this one. I'm bald so I want something that covers my head and face without being too hot or thick. Molds to your face without being tight. Only one I'll ever buy.

EDIT: Year two of using these and I’m still in love with them. I have 3 different ones now. They’ve held up so well to many ski trips and they keep my sensitive ears warm and protected. I just wash them on cold and hang dry them to ensure they stay in good shape.First time using a blackstrap balaclava and I absolutely love it. The material feels so high quality and nice. It fits really nicely on my head (I wear a size large ski helmet.) I love how easily you can pull the mouth piece up and down, it’s great for Covid too as the mouth part has a double layer. The mouth part has a meshy type layer on the inside which really helps keep it from sticking to your face when it gets all moist from your breath. It kept the cold wind off my face really nicely. Great for day and evening skiing. If I was gonna go night skiing on a really cold night I might get the thicker version of this for extra warmth. This regular thickness one still kept me warm too tho. I’m definitely going to eventually buy a couple of these in different colors. Really worth the price and I love all the awesome colors and patterns.

I look forward to buying more to rotate throughout next year's season. Great fit and sun protection (UPF 50) for bluebird late winter/early spring riding. Didn't capture the moisture around my mouth, colors are accurate. Didn't overheat, not sure of its effectiveness in colder months of the season but will find out next year.

These work great for skiing. They fit very well under a helmet and can keep your entire face warm on cold and windy days. Just don't forget your goggles!

This is a great product as it is warm, light weight, and fits well as a helmet liner. Also does a great job keeping the wind out.

Perfect for skiing. Wasn't too tight or too loose. And it kept us warm.

I wore this for snowmobiling. they are breathable, but it definitely fogged my glasses and goggles. It was very compatible while wearing a helmet and I felt like my face and neck were warmer with it on, even though this was not fleece. Overall I do believe it is a tad over-priced, but I get it. I would use this as a gaiter, but it does not stay on my face while covering my nose, unless I have my hair in a high ponytail since the hair will get in the way of it staying in place. I found that it was a little big for me, but it was definitely comfortable. I think this is great for people who are in the sun alot or require the use of a helmet often. It seemed durable and the prints are pretty neat.
