The door to the world of Wi-Fi professionals
Detailed book covering the basics of wireless communications and all the features of modern 802.11 wireless networks. Written in clear language, supplied with online materials to improve understanding.I think it's best entry level book about Wi-Fi. If English is not your native language (for me it's Russian), you have to learn it to dive into Wi-Fi world. I read the previous edition for passing exam and this one is for keeping knowledge relevant and teach others engineers to build better Wi-Fi.

Lots of good info, but too detailed for exam.
I bought this as a study guide for the CWNA-107 exam but ended up not using it due to it's deep detail and going into things that are not on the exam. If you're wanting to prepare for the CWNA exam specifically, it might be best just to get the CWNP book to work from. The CWNP resources was my primary source of study material and passed first try.Otherwise, this is a great book and I would definitely recommend it for people wanting to learn more about wireless networking.

Awsome book!
I read this book cover to cover in preparation for the CWNA exam. Albeit it's not a page turner if your not into 802.11, but for me I could not wait to read the next page and chapter to achieve competency for the CWNA. I was very prepared after reading this book and the Wiley test bank an flash cards were helpful in preparing me to pass. I recommend this book. I passed the CWNA on my first attempt. A lot of material to cover but worth the time to read if your serious on advancing your 802.11 career.

This is THE book to get to learn about WiFi (802.11)
I've purchased every one of Coleman and Westcott's books for the last 10 years. Their CWNA guide is the best study guide available period. There are two versions of the CWNA Guide - the "official" CWNP one and this one from Sybex. Get THIS one. The authors were the authors of the original until CWNP started doing their own. This is the superior version. This guide is over 1000 pages (1024 to be exact). It includes a lot of updated/revised information plus new info on 802.11ax.If your are looking to prepare for the latest CWNA exactly (107) then get this.If you want to learn about wireless, or have a responsibility for managing a wireless LAN, THIS guide is mandatory. Get it now! Also, if you need something to kill a giant Bird Spider, stop a bullet, or just hold open a heavy metal door, this book'll be your Huckleberry.

The best wireless and test prep book. Period.
Excellent material. I got this to make sure I was well-versed in wireless for the exam. I've been a network engineer for years, but just recently decided I would actually get the CWNE Certification and this was the first step. I want to make perfectly clear that I am NOT a CWNE yet, but will be passing my CWAP and CWDP this week and CWSP next week (time is the factor, not preparation). This book covered CWNA so thoroughly that it dipped into two of the professional level exam topics. That, however, does not matter. The material covered in this book covers wireless, plain and simple. From basics to advanced topics the goal of the Sybex is obviously to help people understand the material, not just pass the exam. Can you pass the CWNA-107 with SOLELY this book? YES! Should you get this book if you just want a reference guide for your desk for wireless material? Oh my, yes! Should you supplement this book with the Certitrak one? If you want, but this is all you need, period. I cannot recommend this enough. Get this book for CWNA, CWDP, CWAP, and CWSP prep. Learn this book inside and out and you will be the king/queen of wireless.

Like others have said: great study guide and a great resource for wi-fi
Very granular, but worth the effort. The CWNA may be retired, but if you work with wi-fi, or anything dealing with RF, this is a good manual reference to have in your shop, server room, or office.
