Surprisingly seems to work
I got this to try to protect the door edges of my new Model Y, as my garage is pretty cramped. I was concerned about how well it would adhere due to other reviews, but I took a chance since it's cheap. I also decided on this over door edge paint protection film since it is easier to apply and a lot thicker. Surprisingly, it's been several days and the edge guards are still perfectly adhered. Granted, I haven't driven much yet, but it's already an improvement over those who said it fell right off. I was pretty careful about the application, though. This was my process: 1. With the film still on the adhesive, I fit the guard to the door and cut to length. Don't try to cut the guard directly on your door or you'll damage the paint! 2. Not having isopropyl, I cleaned the door edge with Invisible Glass and paper towels, inside and out, making sure it was dry afterward. 3. I peeled off a short length of the protective film covering the adhesive foam and started fitting it back on the door from top to bottom, slowly pulling the film away as I went. THE ADHESIVE GOES ON THE INSIDE OF THE DOOR! The adhesion wasn't super strong at first, so I had to hold the adhered portion with one hand while fitting a new section onto the door. 4. While fitting, I made sure to pinch the door guard onto the door's front and back while also pressing it onto the edge -- if you just press onto the door edge parallel to the surface of the door, the adhesive won't stick well. 5. Since my garage was cold (~40F), I then took a hairdryer on high temperature but low airflow and warmed the edge guard in sections ~4" long. I counted to ten before moving to heating the next section. While the next section heated, I would then use my other hand to again pinch the front and back of the door guard together to make sure the adhesive was stuck fast. I worked slowly like this from top to bottom. 6. I repeated all of these steps on the next door. The Model Y front door edges are almost completely straight, but the back doors have a pretty sharp bend to go around the wheel wells. The edge guards buckled slightly at this location, but they are rubbery enough to not leave a gap. The white color is somewhat whiter than Tesla's white paint, but it doesn't look off-putting. I chose white rather than clear so that any dirt that may collect inside the guards won't show through. It has yet to be seen how durable these are in the long run, particularly in the rain or after extended UV exposure. I'll update the review if I notice any problems. Also, for what it's worth, the protective film on the adhesive foam layer was printed with the 3M logo. I hadn't seen any mention of that in the listing or other reviews, so it gave me a bit more confidence in the product.

Good investment easy to apply
My new Subaru Solterra didn’t come with door guards and since my previous car had them I looked for some I could install. This was easy to measure and cut. The red tape on the inside broke once or twice but it wasn’t a big deal and so far they’re mostly sticking. The ends did lift on my back door since there is a bit of an angle, but not a big deal as it’s out of the area that would potentially bump into something. I feel better about having the extra protection and the price is miles better than the inflated dealer price you’d have added to your invoice. The length looks to be just long enough for the four doors on my Solterra, but so far I’ve only done the drivers side front and back doors. I was concerned about it laying smooth with the kinks that were in the line upon arrival but once it’s on and the sticky part is attached, it was smooth and clean looking.

Don't waste your money.
Very simply: it does not work. I put it on the door. It fell off. I ordered another one and put it on the door again. It stayed on for a bit, long enough to build my hopes up… then fell off. Fine. Maybe this one’s on me. So I went back, re-read the instructions like a responsible adult, ordered a rubber mallet as instructed, and carefully followed every step like I was defusing a bomb. Result? Fell off. Exactly like the first time. Two hours of my precious life: gone. Poof. Zip. Vanished. The door remains unprotected, and I am now emotionally damaged.

Very nice and relatively easy to install (but the black version hasn't been so good)
I'm fairly impressed w/ this edging. I purchased a double order and was impressed that there was enough supplied to do both of my vehicles. The first is a small four door SUV so I knew there's be enough for it but my second vehicle is a 2500HD crew cab pick-up that's very large. There's not a natural belt line around the truck so in order to look right the edging had to run the entire height of the doors up to the roof. I easily had enough material for both vehicles and had around three feet (about a meter) left over. It's relatively easy to install with patience. The vehicle needs to be clean. I started at the top and slowly pressed the edging into place and then cut it to the right length at the bottom. After you are completely satisfied w/ the fit you pull it off at the top a little and pick at the red strip until there's enough to pull. Slowly pull out the red strip, moving down, and pressing the adhesive strip firmly against the inside of the door edge. One hint is to install it in fairly warm weather and I left the strip material in the sun as I was working with it so it would be soft and pliable. I had no trouble getting it to conform to shapes and it seems to be sticking well. I guess we'll see what happens in colder weather but I'm hoping that by then it'll be well attached. This edging isn't as thin and fancy as some I've seen applied by custom detailing shops, but for a do-it-yourself I think it's pretty good. The door edge on the SUV is a bit thinner than on the truck so the edging is slightly less flat but I don't think it looks bad. I've tried to show it in four pictures: three of it on the car and one on the truck. EDIT: I liked this so much I got another package of it to give to my grandson for his first vehicle. SECOND EDIT: The clear edging reviewed above, the first purchase for the car and the grandson's vehicle have been great, HOWEVER, the black that I purchased for my truck has been TERRIBLE! I carefully leaned the door edges before installation as I did on the other two vehicles but after only around four months it isn't sticking well at all. Very disappointed.

Absolute garbage, came all twisted and kinked and it doesn’t straighten up, also the sticker doesn’t work at all, complete waste of money

Molto facili da installare e soprattutto non si staccano col tempo. La colla non è mai colata, nonostante un paio di estati caldissime e la gomma non si è ingiallita. Ottimo prodotto
