The Qur'an: With a Phrase-by-Phrase English Translation Paperback – 29 Sept. 2018

The translation is really amazing and very simple to understand the english part is written big enough to clearly read the arablic isnt that much i do recomend people to buy if they really want to understand the meaning part not so much for reading arabic i will attach a pic from the inside of the quran with my review.

This Quran is fine but it wasn’t the one I was looking for, is it possible for me to return this and not get a refund, as I don’t want to disrespect it ?

Brilliant phrase by phrase translation that is relatively easy to understand. Also service provided was unbelievable!

As expected

Although this translation is a step up from Yusuf Ali et al, the conscientious reader will still need to consult a good Quranic Arabic dictionary as this translation is often flawed e.g the term “yusaquna” ( 53:45) is rendered “ drop down dead”, whereas a more accurate translation would be “ struck as if by lightning” i.e “thunderstruck”. Likewise the term “sabr” connoting such qualities as patience and steadfastness is occasionally reduced to an aspect of its meaning which doesn’t fit the context. All of which goes to show the necessity of studying Quranic Arabic with good tools if you really do want to appreciate the message of the Quran and of Islam in general. There is no substitute for hard work. Many your labours be rewarded.
