I really enjoyed this. I knew nothing of it going in. The simple art is great. good story. Quick read. Id recommend

Moving short little story
This book touches on some relatively common themes in independent comics like teenage coming of age and figuring out a sexual identity but adds some surprising twists and a perfect minimalistic writing and drawing style. I found the main character and her Catcher-in-the-rye sadness and grief very captivating. Only issue would be that it’s a pretty short read.

Netflix series better
The plot rattled along and I did not mind it too much but the essence that the Netflix series squeezed out of this story was so much better.

Amazing.
The book was really good! It is slightly different from the Netflix series, it does have a couple of sex scenes, drug use, etc. but it is absolutely amazing. I got it cause I was so interested in the Netflix series. It’s a pretty dark and gory book so not recommended for people under the ages of 13. Despite the reviews of people saying it was bad, it was very good and amazing to read. It’s a quick read too! Loved it!

Definitely a trigger for us with thoughts of suicide. I wouldn’t let any teens with mental health issues read it by themselves. Possibly ok in a group setting where it can be discussed. Definitely a thought provoking story. Would recommend with caution

I bought this because I loved the TV series. The book is a disappointment and I would have sent it back if I hadn't let the date pass.
