The "Qilloway Shredded Hypoallergenic Memory Foam Pillow with Breathable Washable Removable Cooling Bamboo Fabric Cover,Orthopaedic,Pain Relief, Queen Size" is from a brand otherwise unknown and appears similar to others currently also offered by Amazon. As the foam is shredded and not solid it is able to 'breathe' and remain cool and to offer greater comfort as it more easily moulds around the head and shoulders.Wastefully packaged, a large box filled with metres of packing paper, another heavy-duty box within and the pillow vacuum-wrapped within two heavy-duty poly bags. There has to be a better and less material-wasting alternative!The pillow is quite flat when first unpacked and, unlike some others used, does not self-aerate or 'inflate'. The filling needs to be pumped edge-to-edge, then slowly teased apart, breaking-up any large lumps until none remain. It then needs be placed in a 'dryer' for 10-30 minutes to fully activate. Whether 'dryer' means a spin, tumble or heated machine is not clarified and, as we have a spin dryer that was used. Plumped when started, it was noticeably more plump and softer on removal, but it was also slightly damp and needed to aerate and dry naturally.It was found that after 2-3 days, the foam filling appeared to again compress to some degree with softness and comfort reduced in consequence. A few shakes and pumping end-to-end relaxed the foam once again and comfort restored. That procedure has now become a regular routine. Other memory foam pillows, one also chopped foam filled, needed no such repeated attention.The casing is permanent and not zipped to remove for laundering. Extremely creased when first unpacked, after teasing the filling and 10 minutes in a spin dryer, very few creases are now present. There is a very slight odour, as was stated and expected, but it is not offensive and should dissipate quickly. It was no longer apparent after 2-3 nights. It is softer and deeper in the middle than one it replaced (solid foam) and offered better comfort on first use. It is also very good value.

I have had 3 good nights sleep on this pillow which is the number of nights I have used it. It feels very firm but actually props up the head taking the pressure off the neck. Don't yet know if truly value for money or it's durability but much better than a previous Memory Foam pillow I have had. Contrary to warnings I have not detected any smell from it. I did give it about 15 minutes in a tumble dryer which plumped it up.

I bought this for my partner who was experiencing neck issues with his previous one - he's used this pillow for a few nights now and the pains in his neck have gone. He says it is a very comfortable pillow. In order to get the pillow to activate he had to beat it around a bit and then we put it in the tumble drier for 30mins & this worked a treat. Overall, very happy!!

I've had memory foam pillows in the past but these ones are just like sleeping on bricks very uncomfortable I've done everything they tell you to do even put them in the tumble dryer and they still come out feeling like bricks so I wouldn't waste your money

My husband really likes this pillow, it's soft and comfortable with some support but not too hard. Good value for money too, if it means a good night's sleep!

I have tried several pillows and repeatedly had bad, painful sleep. This product has been fantastic so far! I have slept very well. No tossing and turning and woke with no neck pain. I hope it continues. I would definitely buy more :) Thank you!

I was hoping this product would help with my arthritis,unfortunately the pillow is very hard and uncomfortable.I gave up after a week of sleepless nights.
