3M 1-1/2" 233+ Green AUTO Masking Tape-4 Roll-Paint CAR

I do body and paint work and there are so many bad tapes on the market. This tape is number 1 on my chart not only does it adhere properly but it does all the things you would expect. And the price is pretty good compared to 3m. It is as good if not better than 3m. Thank you for supplying such a good product. And I would buy from the supplier again. They were very prompt. I had the bumper of my car painted, right before a 5k mile road trip. Unfortunately, it was too soon for PPF. I therefore needed an auto body tape that was easy to remove without ruining fresh paint. The 3M 233+ tape came in handy. Protecting paint during a road trip is not this tape's primary use. However: it is water resistant. This tape survived 2k miles of cross-country driving one way without problems. It survived soaking rain and was easy to remove when I arrived at my destination, left no residue. I put a fresh layer on for the return trip, during which it rained harder and even snowed briefly. After both legs of the trip, the paint was flawless other than a single, tiny rock chip. Recommended for this use...just make sure you take the tape off ASAP as I did.

After doing a complete paint job on my truck and running out of this tape on the last section of the job, only to find out the left over generic masking tape I had let go during the last spray. I cannot tell you how much time and money that mistake cost me. I ended up having to paint the truck again : ( So I made sure I had plenty this time and I can tell you hands down, this is the very best tape for automotive painting that is out there. It sticks and holds very well. It does not rip when pulling back off or leave a residue, and paint lines are super clean. How clean you ask. I Raptor lined my truck (textured paint) and this tape did not bleed even when taping off trim sections to be painted a different color. It's very hard to tape a textured surface and get clean lines. This tape came out in flying colors and is super easy to use. Yes, it's expensive. But so is your time and labor. This is my go to tape from now on.

I use this tape for both freezing labels and for taping out sections of doors and floors when I'm painting. It never fails for either purpose and always comes off clean when painting. Totally worth the money.

Just received the tape yesterday so have only used a little. Seems to be as expected from 3M. If things change as I use more I will let you now.

Works extremely well for my application using epoxy and polyester resins. I had one time it left residue but I think it was due too high heat from the exothermic reaction

Best auto body tape for the money. Sticks and releases like you need. It's a bit expensive, but you don't want to trust cheap tape for painting a car.

Great quality tape. Perfect for automotive paint projects. Has great adhesive properties. Will adhete to paint well but not really strong to cause damage or peeling and won't dry up and leave glue residue like other types of tape.
