MTD 748-04082 Blade Adapter

Although the listing stated that this item is the exact item for my mower, the two studs were not as long as the original part. Therefore, the locking plate did not intersect the two studs.

I used this item on a Troy-Bilt 11A-542Q71197712 mower with a Honda engine. It fit as needed and I resumed mowing promptly. I do not know why the local DIY stores cannot get their act together with regards to small engine repair parts. I generally cannot get the proper parts locally and am pleased Amazon has what I need.Thanks also to the other reviewers who helped me make my purchase decision.

This is the genuine MTD part. Nicely cast and machined, with the proper stamps. Fits a Honda GCV engine and extends the 25mm shaft about an inch to accommodate older MTD mower decks where the Briggs engine also required this kind of adapter. (Tho the Briggs shaft was only 7/8" in diameter, the longer bolt will work with the GCV shaft.)

One day when I was mowing with my Troy-Built mower, I heard a loud sound and it turned out the whole blade adapter was cracked. I was thinking of ordering from Troy-Built, but this one was cheaper and could come faster.This adapter fit perfectly and was an exact match! I had no problem with blade height or anything else other reviews mentioned. Material seemed very similar if not identical to what was replaced. Install was very simple (pull up the assembly manual for your mower if you forgot the order of the washers as I did).

Slipped it on the shaft and was able to repair my lawnmower.

I have a troybuilt with honda 6hp engine from 2009/2010 from lowes. This was perfect for shaft dimensions, and bolted right up. I was nervous after reading other reviews. It does seem to be made out of a cheap metal instead of steal which is the reason for only 4 stars. It does seem as if it would wear out like the oem. However, I did use it 2 times already and no issues. Make sure your blade is balanced when you reinstall it. Hopefully this helps. This is second one of These I have replaced in last 5 years.

Loaned my mower to a neighbor and when I got it back the blade literally fell on the floor of my garage as I tried to start it. I propped up the mower and saw this part was cracked severely and it actually separated. So I went on Amazon and could not believe I found the exact same part. It was a little expensive so I gave it four stars but it did fit perfectly and had me up and going in about 10 minutes. Good solid product.

It fits and works but I don't understand why it doesn't include the bolt and collar... $22 is really high for such a small piece.. I couldn't find it anywhere.. These should be a dime a dozen... It fits and works but man, almost $25.00? I bought full lawnmowers for less

You really have to measure the shaft size. This is 25mm and fits perfectly for the manual number 748-04082.I have PRIME and I am rather astonished this is the first item I have ever ordered that DOES NOT have a 30 day amazon return policy. So choose carefully. I bought this for the sole purpose of using it on the one lawnmower for power raking my lawn. I had no issues and I hope that it remains as such. The item description is spot on. It does not come with the bolt or blade clamp.

Only be sure that this model fit your output shaft dimension because some model have diferent size. In my part lis both model of output shaft are shown, but only one will fit so only be sure of the dimension and this blade adapter will fit as oem one

Replaced the troybilt broken adapter with this worked perfect
