A well written and very informative book

Bear in mind that this is an e-book nugget - it is just a slice of a greater book The Soul of a Horse: Life Lessons from the Herd. You will read this wee e-book in 15 or 20 minutes. I bought the e-book nugget because of the low price and as a nugget it was a good one.It does explain the ideas behind keeping a number of horses on a small plot of land without good grazing and it inspired me to go look at quite a few of the websites that are mentioned at the back of the book. As we all know there's plenty of reading and learning to be had from good websites.Actually I found as a beginner to the world of horses that the references are great, there's lots of info there, a good list of names to look for in further reading and also a good selection of websites to browse through so it was certainly worth the 49cents for the kindle edition.I have to say though that if I could have afforded it, I would prefer to have the full book and also the references included are the same on each of the Jo Camp e-book nuggets that I read.

Usually I am very interested in natural horsemanship wasn't Joe's best book I think still worth a read however interest in parts.

I love Joe Camp. Wish I could get him to adopt my horses. In the meantime, I'm hoping I will someday have the money to take better care of my hay burners. At least now I have more knowledge of what to do when day comes that I no longer have to leave them in the care of other people.

Just buy 'The Soul of a Horse' and have done with it. You will once you've read this anyway.

With a little creativity, easily implemented ... encouraged a barn dweller to come out and move around. Even a small area can seem bigger. Not as practical at my place in the winter months but worked well as a natural rotation of the small grassy area I have available.

This book was a good read for a number of reasons. Short, precise and to the point. Horses need the freedom to move around and also need to graze. Good point to this book is that it is never too late to get your first horse or horses and whatever the circumstances of your situation you can make it work. For all the people who dreamed of owning their own horse ~ Do it! You can make it work and you will never regret it.

Finished this, the first of three, in one sitting! Just picturing Cash smiling and frolicking is in my heart forever. Thanks, Joe and Kathleen, for sharing your soul(s) with us again as you did with "The Soul of a Horse".
