It is to run my 220 V plug on my small welding machine , it runs better on 220 than 110 but I don't have a 220 receptacle in the garage . The laundry is just inside the door and so I figured as little as I use it I would just adapt and run a ext. cord from the Laundry when I needed to use it. It was exactly what I needed and was easy to order

Unfortunately we ordered the wrong type of adapter so this item was returned, but was very solid and well made.

It does what it says, but...
The product in and of itself is fine, it does exactly what I needed, convert a twist lock 240 plug to a standard "dryer" style 3 prong plug. But, I found out later that for what this cost I could have bought the components to make the same thing from Home Depot with a much longer reach. So yeah it's a good product, but no I won't ever buy it again.
