This works well, it a good size, so catching live insects is quite easy, it secure once caught, it not cheap, but it good quality, I find it very useful.

This spider/insect catcher is the best! It works so easily & can catch very large spiders, insects. It's easy to use & I would defo recommend it! :-)

Large enough to catch big spiders, butterflies etc without damaging them. Extending handle useless as the operating button cannot be operated when using it. In fact as you push the button the handle freely extends rather than the button sliding to close. I will drill and pin the handle to stop it extending.

I really hate spiders but I don’t like harming them either. This is a great device and allows me to pop them outside Without getting to close. I don’t know how I’ve managed all these years without one. Get the extra large one though.

So it arrived today at lunch time. It is very strong and sturdy and easy to use. Was about to walk up the stairs and saw a black blob on the wall... it was only a large butterfly. So rather than panic, went and got my new toy... and with in seconds, i had safely transferred the butterfly outside and set it free. Otherwise, it would have been a cup and book job which would have been effective, but would have taken longer to do! Worth every penny!

I though that at last I'd found a means of letting escape all the flies that get trapped inside the house windows, without having to use the edges of plastic box lids, as I've always relied on until now. The flies din't get squashed by the green closer which they happily walked on to, and because the head is a decent size, they didn't seem to fly away as it got near them. Sadly after a month, the green closer now seems to be slightly too large width-wise, so it now buckles enough to make it not as flat against the glass as before. Because I now have to be so much more careful not to squish the flies with the less well-fitting closer, I've gone back to using a lid, but admittedly, I'm only evicting somewhat sluggish autumn Cluster flies for now. It will probably be more effective with lively summer flies than a lid, so I can carry on with my one-woman mission to save as many insects as I can from the ravages wreaked on them by much human endeavour (and thus help the bird life)

This is excellent I have already disposed of a large Daddy Long Leg Spider and an actual flying Daddy Long Legs. No injury or stress. Its a sturdy item and the handle also extends which I don't remember reading in thedescription.

Got this as it look substancial. Very disappointed. The slide that you are supposed to push forward to trap the insect is just a tiny bit thicker than paper and on first use it came of its track . The slide button then jammed and now does not work. Honestly don't waste your money with this item. It is an overprice waste of money. I would have returned it but the thing has come from Germany (not specified by Amazon) and it took near 2 weeks to arrive so sending it back will be expensive. So I am going to chuck it in the bin and forewarn all others! Walk away.
