The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree: An Appalachian Story

I have been giving this book (when I could find it) to children I have come to know and care for since I first found it in the late 1980’s. I met my neighbors great granddaughter last weekend and almost immediately thought of “Ruthie” in this story. It is only April but I have the “perfect Christmas present” for Everly when December rolls around.The ordering was easy, the book is pristine, and came in less than a week (OK, still a bit early for Christmas!). Kudos to Christian Books for everything.

Love this book. Beautiful illustrations and sweet story

On Christmas Day I was listening to a local radio station. They presented this story along with some great Christmas songs. It was a wonderful production and I was touched by the story. I knew I needed to get the book, so that I could have it for next Christmas.

I Love this book so when I found it on Amazon at a good price I had to buy and am very pleased, great story, shipping time was as expected, condition was good. I read a lot to my children instead of letting them watch Screens so their attention span has been stretched longer for reading. I got it for my 5 and 7 year olds and they both liked it. Not sure if the average screen time kid would like it. I also love the Christmas Book, Holly and Ivy by the same illustrator.

I bought this book as a gift, found the story to be very long winded. I wouldnt recommend for small children.

Wonderful story so heart felt. We read it before going out to get our own tree and it was so touching.
