I love this toy! It has a bungee like effect in the handle so the dog pulls on your arm less. Now, my dog did not like the hard but very durable end. So I cut it and made it have strips of material for her to grab onto easier and now we are tug o war maniacs! It will still last a while because this toy is very well made.

Perfect for tug of war! My dog loves to play, but I never did. Until this toy.Finally, my arm isn't being jerked around and I am in charge of play, not the other way around.It gives a fantastic workout for her (and she hates walks, and I live in a small apartment, so this is a godsend for using energy!)I do not leave it out with her normal toys, but even still, she seems to know this isn't a chew toy. Most toys, even the 'indestructible' ones, rarely last long. This one shows no sign of wear after weeks of playing.I am sure if I did leave it on the floor and walked away, it would quickly become a pile of scraps. But since she knows 'drop it's and gets a treat at the end of every play session, it goes back away.The only slight negative is that my dogs teeth can easily puncture into the material. It doesn't rip or tear like most dog toys (which is why it has lasted), but I am paranoid that with all her yanking and twisting to 'win' the game, her tooth will be caught and break.How reasonable is this fear, I don't know. My thought is something has to give, either the fabric or her tooth, and I don't really want either to happen. So every once in a while I have her drop it from her mouth and check to make sure it's all good.My dog has shown absolutely no aggressive tendencies, but I am very careful using this toy as part of fun training. She does have very powerful jaws, and I don't want her to ever get the idea that the behavior is okay, except when playing.She has to sit before she gets to grab it, and lucky for me, she came from the shelter understanding 'drop it's (took her a year to learn sit, but drop it, nearly instantly).With the bungee, she doesn't get to drag and yank my arm, giving me much greater control.I love this toy, and so does my pup.

The media could not be loaded.  I was a little skeptical of this toys ability to stay in tact... i've had little luck with elastic straps vs my dogs tug of war abilities.. but the construction and quality of this toy is very good.My dog is a champ puller... so much so that i actually have to warn people when they start playing with him that he'll try to rip their shoulder out.... but the elastic effect on this toy has definitely saved me some wear and tear on my arm.I altered my play routine a little bit, per instructions that came with the toy, and found it to be very helpful... I cant stay static and let my dog pull against the toy... the force is too strong for any toy.. BUT.. keeping my arm waist height, and extended out, so that the angle is greater than 45 deg to the ground limits the amount of torque my dog can achieve... Also, i tend to follow him around as he's pulling on it, so that takes some of the tension off.. then when he does the death head shake that usually rips the toy from my hand or arm from socket, thats when the elastic kicks in and saves you.I have started using this as a training reward, as opposed to supervised or unsupervised play.. this is a special treat and reward... since he loves it so much, he's willing to follow any command to get it...Really a great toy, its already been a couple of months, and because of the style of play, its lasted longer than most of his toys. I will definitely be buying more of these as needed.thanks for making a bully "proof" toy!

I have a half pit terrier that loves to play tug-of-war and this is one of her favorite toys. The bungee strap makes yanking and pulling more fun and the nylon fabric is holding up well. Aside from some slight fraying it's staying together.As others have noted, it's not a chew toy and obviously any chewing on the black strap is going to end the fun real quick. We pull it out just for tug-of-war. It's also a little large for her. She's 30lbs and it can take a few tries before she gets a good grip on it. So it may be too large for dogs smaller than that.

My dog, a 60lbs Lab, loves her Bungee! It is so much tougher than her old cloth covered tug toy, it seems to last forever. I don’t use the elastic strap often as the Bungee is big enough for me to hold one end and her to fully bite down on the other. I can see where many people would like to and maybe feel more comfortable using the strap however. The strap also makes tugging a good bit less aggressive because it expands so much.

They were not lying when they go into detail about how well they did the stitching. I figured it would last a little bit before the handle rips or comes out of the tug or the tug itself rips. My pitbull pulls on this toy HARD! It's to where my arm feels like it'll come out of my socket and not a single tear or stitch has come undone. These guys made a toy that will actually last longer than a month like other toys I have gotten him.

The logo tag at the top of the toy where the strap attaches is a harder plastic and extremely sharp. Our puppy caught this while playing and cut her gum. Returning. Do Not buy this toy! It is not safe!

Very durable and safer than a rope toy. I have a pit bull and he loves it. Just be careful with the elastic handle. My dog always goes for it since he thinks he can chew through it and take the toy from me. Smart dog. The part he's supposed to chew in is very tough. My dog get 15 minutes of tugging with it everyday and it hasnt deteriorated.
