So far it has been a great reel, extremely smooth. I had an Okuma ultralight that I used for crappie fishing, but stupid me I laid the rod down and step on the reel's handle and snapped it off. The lakes I fish are very, very clear and fishing for crappie you need a very light line. I went to one of our local sporting good stores to get another Okuma reel but they did not have the one I wanted. The ones they had were packaged up so you could not handle them. I saw this reel online and thought, "what the heck I'll give it a try." To my surprise, it is smoother and better made. If it last as long as my old Okuma I'll be one happy fisherman. Good Luck

The reel was delivered with only 1 spool but when I contacted the seller and sent a picture of the box where it said it should contain 2 spools, they responded immediately and rectified the problem. Because of the pandemic, I have not put this to use, but it is hardly, fits the Travel rod I paired it up with and has a smooth retrieve. Looking forward to using this.

I have purchased several of these reels in various sizes and configurations of features. The common thread is the quality of design and manufacture. The drag is the smoothest I have encountered at any price point. Fit and.finish is extrordinary for the cost. Polished aluminum spools and low volume gearcases along with multiple ball bearing round out the overall quality.

The design and feel of this reel are good. It has an extra strong bail on it that won't bend should you hook something a bit bigger than you anticipated. (I have a habit of loading braided line stronger than what they are intended for). They didn't skimp on quality when making these.I will see many many hours of fishing with this one in the future.

Roller bearing in bail would not turn and craftsmen ship is not very good. Drag is not the smoothest. Reels smooth but with bad roller bearing you will have wind knots all the time. If that issue is addressed by company they should have a good reel for money. Going to try another brand

for the money it's a good reel. allow 1/4" space between spooked line and spool end.
