Ashanks motorized slider literally vibrates and advertised "features" are actually flaws
I was looking for a portable motorized slider and this product looked like it was close to perfect. The first clue on how wrong i was came as soon as I opened the package. The instruction were actually for an LED television! When I first ran the thing I could see it vibrate without having to look at the footage. I contacted the seller and that's another review that I will post as well, needless to say the lack of response left me to try and figure out how to adjust this so that it wouldn't vibrate. Nothing I did helped.Other problems with it, the auto-stop/reverse? Nope. I would hit one end and then you could hear the little motor working away trying to move the carriage. I could get it to reverse by setting the a/b points just before the ends but that certainly did not help the vibration. It would also freeze sometimes in the middle of a movement and when you started it again it would move like nothing was wrong. One feature I thought would be great but turned out to be less than ideal for a slider of this length is the acceleration. When doing a full-length move it will start out slow and accelerate to the maximum speed you have set. It makes sense to help keep heavy loads from causing issues, however, this is an extremely short slider. As soon as it hit the speed you selected it would start to decelerate. So there is no consistency across the movement range and ends up looking completely unprofessional.I've had my fair share of sliders over the years and though the construction of this resembles the DIY instructions I've seen around, and everything seemed well-put-together it just didn't work. I'm not sure how other reviewers did not have this problem so maybe I got a bad copy but the complete lack of help from the seller made my decision to return as opposed to an exchange easy.As I mentioned, I've tried my fair share of sliders and this is one of the worst and the lack of instructions for this actual product did not help. I figured out the control that's not really the most intuitive but it did it's job after figuring it out. However, the fact that you get vibration and the acceleration, that on a longer slider makes sense just doesn't work on something this short.Pros:Small and portableSeemingly well built before useCons:-Advertised features like smooth motion and auto-stop/reverse do not work-carriage visibly vibrates during movement-instructions do not exist-acceleration to max speed is too drastic for such a short slide-case is terribly cheap and most certainly will not lastBottomline is that you can get better results from a lighter, cheaper, manual carbon fiber slide.

Too bad the motor is what ruins this motorized slider...
Works ok for what it is, but there is a shake transmitted from the motor into the camera. It is definitely noticable in the footage. Kind of ruins the whole point of a slider, doesn't it?
