BonJour Coffee Insulated Borosilicate Glass Latte Cups, 2-Piece Set, 12-Ounces Each

I love these and they always make coffee or tea a bit more special. I would advise against using the dishwasher or leaving in a sink with other dishes. They are sturdy, but it seems that when hit up against something else, they do break. I love them so much though, I bought a second set after I broke both of mine due to not being careful. Now I hand wash and dry them. It's worth it! They do NOT feel fragile though, and I have no fear of them breaking while in use or while using a spoon to stir my tea.

This mug has everything we were looking for: lightweight, large capacity, and a handle large enough for big, unsteady hands.The design looks great with all of our other dishes and really shows off the beverage. (Sometimes I use it for "blossoming" tea and it's particularly lovely.) It's very durable despite its delicate look and feel. I'm a klutz and haven't broken one yet.The double-walled feature really does keep things hot longer. The box says "hand wash only" but we've been sticking it in the microwave and dishwasher every day for over a month and so far so good. I was kind of expecting it to explode from air expanding between the walls. Maybe we've just been lucky?The only downside is that it doesn't fit completely in the car cupholder. It's not the kind of mug you'd expect to fit there, though, so this really isn't a criticism.

These glasses were not cheap, but I liked the idea of having them keep my French Press coffee warm, since it cools down a bit while brewing. First, I didn't notice that these mugs kept the coffee hot any longer than my thick glass pyrex mugs. But most of all, despite me carefully washing these only by hand, one of them got an invisible crack somewhere only a few months after I got them!! How could I tell? Because suddenly there was soapy water from when I washed it, BETWEEN the two layers of glass!! I could never see the hole, but if I held the mug upside down, a little of the liquid would drop out, one small drop at a time. Really bad- I treated them as fragile, but that one was either defective, or the quality is just poor. Useless, and a waste of money.

These mugs are very pretty, lightweight, and dainty. However, they are not microwave or dishwasher safe if that's something you're looking for. We don't really mind it, but we worry they wont last long because of how delicate and fragile they feel/are.

WE HAVE HAD THE INSULATED GLASS MUGS SINCE MARCH 2015. WE HAVE WASHED THEM IN THE DISHWASHER AND PUT THEM IN THE MICROWAVE, STILL LOOK GREAT! NEVER HOT TO THE TOUCH WHEN HOT TEA OR ANYTHING IS IN THEM. WHO EVER BROKE THEM MUST HAVE DROPPED THEM ON A TILE FLOOR!

The description implies glass but they are PLASTIC. They can't go in the microwave and must be hand-washed (I'm assuming this is because a dishwasher would melt them. They don;t even have the frosted look or the silver rim that the photo appears to have; they are just plain clear plastic and $10 a piece for a plastic cup is ridiculous. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning them so my money is gone but there is still time to save yours. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it is a cup.

I had purchased similar, espresso capacity mugs for my higher quality coffee drinking so that I could enjoy the layering of the froth above the coffee and find these to be just as good but, in a larger capacity. These are 12 oz. and a little larger for what I actually needed but, I am happy with them and kept all six that I had ordered. Although seeming delicate, they have stood up to daily use and daily washing in the dishwasher. Certainly, as glass cups, I do take precautions to use a soft coaster when setting the cup down and I don't have granite or marble counter tops which I think could be an issue. I think the double insulation does keep the coffee warmer longer but, the large size is working against me with a lot of area surface on the top. All in all, very happy, I just would order a size smaller such as 10 oz. instead of the 12 oz. I did order as I don't use any cream, frothed milk or sugar.
