Ancient Egypt (National Geographic Kids Readers, Level 3)

I bought this book for my son because he wanted to learn about Egypt. I like this book for him because it was an easy read for his age (8yrs) . It had the pronunciation help for unfamiliar words that kids may not hear or see every day. It also gives details in a way kids can learn and retain the information. I really like the fact that I didn't have to make my son read this book. He loved it and can tell me all about Egypt.

Informative and well illustrated! Perfect for our Egypt lessons in my kindergarten classroom

My son, age 8, loves to learn about new topics. He really likes the "magazine" feel of these books and the way that the information is presented. As his mom, I really like that he is enjoying reading and learning. Win-Win!

Love the picture and tons of information

This is a very good and down to earth book for kids. I got three (3) of the series books for my granddaughter to better understand about my trip to Egypt. It's a lot for a 5 year old to grasp hearinf about and seeing my pictures. But these books made it all much more understandable. And hopefully she'll get the travel bug and want to go there with me in 10 years.

Parting gift for students after summer session studying about Egypt, Tut and Hieroglyphics. Great Photos. National Geographic also has a lusciously horrifying book called Mummies! Thank you for the quick delivery, which allowed all students and aides to have and enjoy a copy.

Easy to read , covers a lot. I homeschool my 5 year old and ordered a bunch of Egyptian books for our Egypt theme and I would say I could've ordered just this one covers most of what I wanted to teach her also has jokes in it and a little quiz at the end.

My wish is for the children of my goddaughter get a hint of what archeology is about and reading and looking at pictures in this book hopefully will achieve that. Planting seeds of interest is my plan so eventually they might pursue it and flourish.

My daughter told me they had started to learn Ancient Egypt at school and she was very interested. Then she asked me if I can find her some interesting books. We're a big big fan of National Geographic books. Of course I first searched the Amazon for National Geographic books and guess what came across with this book. She loved it. And after reading this, she started explaining to her teacher at school and she is 10 but her teacher is amazed. The books are easy to understand even self explanatory, great illustrations or pictures. Everything great here.

Ordered this as a gift for a friend's son. Unfortunately, when I opened the box, the book came out with part of the front cover torn. Book overall is also. In a less than stellar condition.
