The waist rubber band is not covered with fabric, so it really scratches the skin - unfinished work! Also, the skirt drags on the floor, it is very long. However, it flows nicely, very flattering.

This was for my daughter, and she ordered 3 black skirts, and chose one, but this wasn't the one.

I was intrigued by the “ fishtail” and worried it would be too much but it adds just the right amount of class and is very flattering! Glad I ordered it!

Small fit me like a loose medium. I needed XS. Normally i wear medium.definitely will need to be taken in.

What I didn't care for was the shine of the fabric. Would have loved a soft, dull black velvet

I wish I could sew velvet because this skirt is nice quality but was way too long for me. I am 5'3" tall. I returned it and bought the one with a slit side front. I think I can hem that with less trouble.

It's a beautiful shade of deep black, made of quality velveteen materials, and the price was reasonable. I had to have it hemmed because it was too long for my 5'5" frame. I really didn't like the way the waist was made. It was an uncovered white elastic band. It wasn't a problem when wearing sweaters with it, but blouses were another matter. I liked the skirt but ended up buying another skirt that had a more conventional set-in waistband.

This is a very attractive skirt and fits me nicely.

It fits at the waist and flares enough over the hips and thighs not to accentuate them, without becoming too full. The fabric falls beautifully to the perfect length on my 5'6" frame. It will go beautifully with a velvet top and simple jewellery. I am delighted with it!Might wear it to a fall or winter wedding, or to evening parties, or to the opera/ballet.
