Great book
The basic series is an excellent one and this book answers a lot of questions especially for someone who is starting out. Bought for a teen interested in architecture it was read cover to cover and is now being kept in his library for further reference to look back over again. I've seen him looking back over sections periodically. It's a good item.

Great Book, Great Illustrations
After reading this book i was most impressed with the illustrations, this was because the variety of pictures are clear, annotated and are appropriately used throughout the book.As of the content it self it has information on all of the basic materials i.e. wood, glass and metals and the history and context of these materials along with how these materials can be adapted or changed for the future to come which I found very interesting.Overall this book is of good quality and great for those who want a book that is simple to understand and handy to carry around as a reference.

Simple and easy to understand
This book contains very clear images, annotations and references throughout. It covers the basic materials such as Metal, Wood, Plastics and glass along with other various materials, allowing us to understand their quality and limitations also the historical side.Overall the book is simple to understand and is printed in great quality, also a very good source to find references as they provide case studies and clear images throughout. There is also a "glossary" section which could be helpful to understand certain terms during your read.
