Another good quality product from samsung
This is a great monitor for the price. I shows very rich colors and looks great playing HD games at 1080p.

Good Value
I purchased this monitor to use in conjunction with my work laptop so I'm not staring at a tiny screen when working from home. I use the VGA cable because it still allows the sound to emit from the laptop whereas the s-video out (I know, I know, I should have known this) also ports the audio to whatever device you attach, so no audio will be available because the monitor doesn't have speakers. Back to the monitor... it's bright, clear, the base is stable and adjustable depending on your viewing angle, and it looks good on my desk. For the price, this monitor offers a good value.

Good monitor for the price, works well with my Mac mini after easy calibration
Really good little monitor for the price, I'm happy with the purchase. I have it connected to a Mac mini via HDMI in my kitchen where there is a lot of light. I picked this monitor because of the anti-glare and the better than average viewing angles, and it's good in both regards. I use it for occasional email writing and web browsing and watching Netflix or Hulu in the kitchen, and for this purpose it's great. I also like the auto power-off timer, since nobody in my family can seem to remember to turn off a monitor. - Several people commented that the color is worse unless you're looking straight on. I don't really notice that - if I look hard there's a subtle effect, but I otherwise don't notice it. Maybe I'm less sensitive to that? If anything I think the color is a little better from an angle. - One person complained about it being wobbly on the stand. It is a little bit, but not enough to bother me. On my solid desk, it doesn't wobble unless I actually touch the monitor itself. Yes, it would be better if the stand were really rock-solid, but it seems fine to me. - It's not a high-DPI display, so if you're used to looking at, say, a Mac Retina monitor, this doesn't come close to that. For my use, I quite like it. If you're going to look at it all day long reading a lot of text...I would recommend something else, a higher DPI monitor is a better choice in that case. The color looked washed out when I first connected it to the Mac mini. I calibrated it using Mac OS X's calibration, under System Preferences -> Displays -> Color -> Calibrate.... After determining the native gamma (the step where you have a picture of the Apple logo on a striped background) the color looked way better. This is apparently a per-user setting, so if you have multiple Mac OS X accounts, you need to do this for each account. It's really easy, but it would be nice if it looked great right when you plug it in. Overall it's a good value and I'd recommend this monitor.

One of the best purchases I've ever made
My first monitor purchase ever, and I love it. Looks great, nice and wide. Only complaint that it is a dust magnet at times, so you just need to dust it off every few days. It took me a little to understand the toggle controls for customizing brightness/contrast/etc, but when I got the hang of it, I could finally appreciate its slim, simple design that delivers greatly.

Not worth the money, no matter how low the price is
When I bought this monitor about two months ago, it was $150. The current lower price reflects what a miserable piece of equipment it is -- and it's still overpriced. The screen is very unevenly lit, which means you have to accept one that's dark at the top and okay at the bottom, or okay at the top and faded out at the bottom. The lighting shifts as you move your head so that moving you head only a couple of inches changes the colors. I've never seen such a poor display. I returned the first one because I thought it was defective, but the replacement was just as bad. What's defective is Samsung manufacturing. I have three Samsung SmartTVs and they have outstanding pictures, and the monitor this one was supposed to replace was an excellent Samsung SyncMaster 2233. This low quality product is being foisted off on loyal customers and it's enough to alienate them forever. I wonder if I'll ever buy a Samsung product again. I was desperate for a monitor so I kept the second one for a month, but I just received a Dell P2214H, which cost only $35 more than the Samsung and is about as perfect as a monitor can be. Don't buy this dog, no matter how cheap it is. You'll be dissatisfied for sure.
