The microphone is powered by 48v phantom power, which every wireless transmitter with the given connection type (3-pin mini xlr) should offer.

Q: I plugged this into my amp and there is no sound, does it need some sort of power supply ?

if its a condenser mic it will need phantom power..

It's a condenser mike so you will need a phantom lower supply. And probably an adaptor for the mini DIN connector.

Q: What is the conector type? It looks like a mini xlr but how do you convert this for a full size xlr for the mixing desk etc?
