better design
best thing about these IMO. is that the design keeps the strap closer to the guitar . the ones I was using plug into the top of the strap post .( first 2 pics) this puts a lot of stress on the screw that holds it.the new ones , go over the post , so the forces are closer to the body of the guitar, very nice,Bonus.. these are nice shiny chrome and I got 2 pr. for almost half the price of the others. that are dull nickel finishsome folk commented that the screw that holds the part that's on the strap together comes loose. use thread lock on it

Looks great but failed miserably.
Super easy to install and use, they look great, the price is right...so what's the problem? The problem is one randomly decided to come loose at the strap and make a break for it while I was standing up playing and that's a pretty big problem. Good thing I tested them on a cheap Squier and not my Gibson or there would be a MUCH bigger problem for both me and the manufacturer of these janky strap locks. I knew I should've stuck with Dunlops.

One Word: Obsessed!
I have added these onto every guitar I own, every strap I own, and onto the guitars I’ve built for clients now. My only complaint is that the Strap button screw will undo itself over time, so just be careful if you move a lot with your guitar. Other than that these are awesome and the easiest way to swap from guitar to guitar when playing or recording.

Great price. More robust than Dunlops.
These seem like they are better designed than the Dunlop locks. I can see how the Dunlop design can become a problem, especially if it does end up breaking on you. These are way beefier and go around your strap button rather than inside (Dunlop) making it more reliable and easier to remove if it ever failed. The price also swayed my decision to this two-pack. Just wished that they also offered it in nickel and black chrome (Floyd rose special colors). The only thing that the Dunlop has over these are the actual locks that go on the strap itself. These are installed by squeezing two washers together with a screw whereas the Dunlop brand used a snap style ring to hold it in place. You just have to remind yourself to tighten them or simply put some thread locker on them so you will not have to worry about it.

Great quality and excellent value. Would buy again and again.
I tell ya’ what, dudes and dudettes. These are some seriously good strap locks. The price is a steal and quality is top notch. Just slapped both pair onto a couple guitars and they are awesome. I’ll definitely be buying a couple more sets to put on my future guitars.**Piece of advice, I'd highly recommend using a dab of blue loctite or other threadlocking compound on the knurled screws that attach to the strap, these find a way to loosen over time...***

Many beautiful guitars have been ruined by the cheapest component on ...
Why guitar manufactures don't use this kind of strap lock as standared is beyond me. When your 2 grand baby smackes into a solid concrete floor because you relied on 2 tiny cheap pegs..Keep it original, NO keep it real, Many beautiful guitars have been ruined by the cheapest component on your guitar failing. XLNT product (a must have) keep the originals for resale if you want, but warn the buyer.
