A simple conceit (making a feared breed into flower pups and ornamented pets) and a brilliant one- changing the unwarranted fear into curiosity, amusement and...love. The photos are stand-alone delights of colour, personality, droll toppers, narrative. Just look at those faces. Read those stories.Pits used to be THE family dog. They were so trusted with children that they were called "the nanny dog," and Helen Keller, the Little Rascals, and Teddy Roosevelt were all pit owners. This book will go a long way to reminding us that it is the training and not the breed that makes a dog who it is. This book is stunning! The images are captivating and the stories are touching. Sophie Gamand is a new fave person! Love how much of an advocate she is for rescues and especially for dogs who need it most (bullie breeds, black dogs, etc.).

Love this book; I have always wanted one, I have one for my office which is seen by all my patients. I am also ordering a second copy for my home. I have a Pit Bull myself, I have never known greater love or affection than the love she gives me.

I purchased this to add to my collection of coffee table pictures books. I enjoy looking at nice pictures, but I was blown away that this is, really, not a picture book. Reading the stories tied to each dog, and reading about the evolution of Pit Bull Flower Power was just amazing. If you are having a bad day, read one of these inspiring stories. It will give you faith in humanity.

I bought this book after hearing about it on Instagram. It's a beautifully photographed and written book about a breed of dog that has been persecuted against for its boxy frame and misrepresented over and over again. These dogs are lovely, and have proven to be gentle giants that are loyal to their humans. These dogs are our legacy...we need to be kinder to those that have been misrepresented...whether they be dogs or humans. Choose to be KIND is the message of Sophia Gamand's book...spread the word far and wide. EXCELLENT book that you will leaf through again and again.

I love what this author did trying to get dogs that seem to have a troubled reputation out of the shelters. It is quite beautiful!! And the stories of the dogs are well written.

Stunning!!! One of the most amazing books ever!! Each picture somehow is more captivating than the last!! She truly captures the sweet, deep souls of this maligned breed of dogs!!!

This book was a 21st present for my granddaughter - she is beautiful inside as well as out, but although she owns a German Shepherd and is completely in love with the breed, I wanted her to know and u understand the very misunderstood Pit Bull so she can learn and help carry the message3 to other misinformed people.....as soon as I can afford another of these books I shall get one for myself.

Got this it as a coffee table book in our living room and it’s awesome! People seem really drawn to it; they go through the book and find each photo/dog so special (which is great because we are pit bull advocates). Sophie’s work really shines a different (positive) light on these misunderstood dogs! I’m very happy with this purchase :) such a beautiful book!

Ive wanted this book for some time. Following sophie on social media, following her posts and fight for the rights of the bree. And let me tell you its been wotth the wait. Not just for the pictures but the stories and lives shared within the book. Get your tissues handy. This is now my prized book among my collection. Thank you Sophie Gamand

The book is very well made with the iconic photos from Sophie Gamand’s collection. Histories of some dogs are included as well as adoption status. Her work supports animal rescue. I also have her Wet Dog book and love that one too.
