My 8-year-old daughter loves this book! She was able to do many of the problems on her own, and get help from me on some of the others. Some of the material is more advanced, and she can come back to that some time in the future. Exploring Pi, the Mobius strip experiment, and the decoder puzzles were some of her favorites. I like that the problems are interesting and fun, and go beyond traditional school curriculum math. The math concepts in this book are very solid and diverse. Kudos to the authors!Get this book if your kid is interested in exploring math beyond the traditional school curriculum. Don't get this book if you are looking for remedial help for a struggling math student.

I love this book. It is fun for students. It's more like FYI. It is useful information that relates to math. It promotes learning without school pressure. Much of the information in the book should have been learned already, so it's mostly review. I bought this particularly to use at the end of the school year for my middle school students. I recommend it. There is literature that precedes the exercises. Be ready to make copies of numerous pages.

This is a great math book! I got it for my granddaughter's day care to use. I always loved math, and I hope she or the teachers/workers there can instill the love and fun of math in the children, i.e., "Which would you rather have, "Hired to work a job for 30 days and earn $1,000,000 or double your money for 30 days starting out with a penny the first day, 0.02 cents the second day, 0.04 the next, etc." Check that out and see if you would change your mind on which one you would do!

Bought this to help my niece in math as she was failing, she was just given most improved within Math. She promised to use it until it was done and now she wants another.. she doesnt love math but she says she doesnt need as much help any more, since using the book.

My 10-year-old daughter loves doing math puzzles, so we got this for her for Christmas and she was really excited. It also gave her something to do on a long car trip we took recently. She likes how it goes in order and teaches some concepts first and then has you do puzzles using those concepts.

I bought this book for an 8 year who really enjoys math. But the workbook was too advanced for someone in the 3rd and perhaps 4th grade. A lot of the math concepts (negative integers, scientific notation, square roots)are beyond the math level of the age range listed in the product description.

Bought this as a Christmas gift for a 7 year old boy that I babysit for. He has a big interest in math and numbers. According to his Mom he loves it and spends time every day working in it.
