This guitar makes me hope that they'll include marriage to musical instruments in the marriage equality act
I don't care who you are. You might be a beginner browsing for your first guitar, a college tool looking to learn guitar and woo the women in the quad, an experienced bard who's looking to upgrade is lyre, etc. The point is, this is one fan-freakin-tastic guitar. My guitar excursions on the acoustic started a couple years ago when I picked up my fathers cheap Korean made Alvarez. Though it was good to learn on, I had to get my hands off of that laminated piece of communist stank. And so ensued my journey that ends with this guitar. I've played my roommates' guitars which include high end Martin and Yamaha's priced over $1000. The Martin was more to my liking, but I could bring myself to spend that kind of bottle caps. So I looked into other brands and found the diamond in the rough that is Seagull. All of their guitars were rivaling guitars of other brands that cost at least $500 more. I bought this as a blem'd model at my local guitar store for $450 so that's cool. Anyway, the cedar top sounds more mature and warm than watching a sunset from the beach drinking a cold beer and cuddling with a grizzly bear. It'll give you the chills like the scene from The Shinning where the crazy dudes wife finds the book he was writing and it only says "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." The Canadian Cherry back and sides are pure eye candy and you'll just want to look at it and stroke it all day. It's very classy. Like a prostitute but for senators and professional athletes. The Q1 electronics are very solid, and sound on the upper end of anything I've used. The size and shape of the guitar is awesome. I was leaning towards a simple dreadnought guitar, but the folk style is super functional and holds a great tone. I would by this thing 10 times over. This isn't your one night stand guitar that'll have you doing the walk of shame after each time. You're gonna want to make this thing a 7 course breakfast followed by some more morning stroking. This guitar is the girl from high school that was maybe a 7/10 looks, but is like a 993832984/10 personality. Not the one you gawk at every day, but you're gonna marry this thing. She's in it for the long haul.tldr: buy this freakin thing.

Seagull make beautiful, simple guitars for everyone to enjoy. The Folk guitars are particularly good for fingerstyle players. Slap some phospher bronze on there and play down the moon.

Be Smarter Than Others
I own a Seagull and a Simon and Patrick (Godin brands) and I can't help but feel like I know something that others don't.I regularly pop into guitar stores to play the cream of the crop of their high-end stuff. While there are indeed some great guitars out there, I typically feel that my "modest" guitars blow them away. They're killer guitars at killer prices.
