After my paper liners for my bamboo steamer ran out, I tried these silicone liners. They work just as well and even better, I don't need to throw them out - I can use them over and over. The food doesn't stick to them, they do well in the high steam heat and they wash and dry so easily. I don't think that I will go back to the paper liners. Would recommend.

I bought this specifically for those Xiao Chi Jie soup dumplings you see everywhere on Facebook. I must say, I do not eat them, but my family does. The inserts work well in the steamer I bought, but they are actually a smidge too big. It doesn't matter though, they still work. Turns out I really did not need them for these dumplings because they come with several wax paper inserts in the bag. That being said, these are good if you use your bamboo steamer for other things, like steaming veggies and what not. Nothing is going to stick to them , so that is good. Having these around sure beats cutting wax paper every time you cook something. Better for the environment too, so there you go, you are making a difference! Good for you!

Keeps your steamer clean. Rinse the silicone and dry it. The food doesn't touch anything but the silicone mat, yet the steam flows through

I couldn't find good disposable liners and the ones that come with some of the foods aren't that great...these are great ...food does not stick to it and it's easy to clean

So far I’m really happy with this reusable liner. They are a touch bigger than my steamer which is better than a a touch small. They have held up in the dishwasher. And most importantly they work super well with food like it’s hardly in there at all. If you want to reduce the amount of steam through the bamboo you may want you stick with parchment paper with holes.
