Super easy and really works well! wow.
I have an older Z car with severe sunbleaching of the original carpets. I had intended to replace them but once I started removing them I noticed that the carpet and padding were both in very fine condition, it was just completely bleached from black color to light tan by 40+ yrs of sunlight.SO glad I selected this product, it looks like it's going to be spray paint but it really sticks to the carpet fibers and dries in less than a minute. In the photos you can see where I removed the center console and the contrast between the deep black carpet that was covered and the tan sunbleached is really obvious, i stopped halfway across to show the contrast and matching of the dye. The other two photos are of the same area after spraying. Just a great match. As you can see I masked off areas I didnt want colored and it's very easy to control the spray. Yes the carpet is slightly 'stiffer' afterwards but it's not stuck together or 'matted' and this was used on a long shag-style carpet so if I didnt tell someone they probably wouldnt even notice (it's on the floors anyway so who cares?)I had even bought new carpet and pad to install but this was so much easier and I prefer the fit, cut and style of the original carpet so I'm glad I could get the color back.

Great for carpet as well as vinyl/plastic interior parts
I did some respraying of interior parts (1970's) last year with VHT products and was not overwhelmed with the quality of the look or feel. They say ideal for dashes, kick panels, etc. There wasn't enough luster not silky smoothness to the items once it cured. So early last winter, I set out to find something better, and it came in the form of Colorbond carpet refinisher.Correct...."Carpet". That is what I initially bought it for, to re-dye the lower door carpets....but I ended up using it on most of the plastic and vinyl interior panels, per the application instructions.First - the carpet. It was faded but complete on the door panels, a very dull grey in places after losing it's black color. The Colorbond dye (3-4 light applications) penetrated wonderfully, deep into the loop carpeting. No clumping (again, light coats). I pulled off the tape and decided to spray the vinyl perimeter. By the time I was done, the lower half of the panel looked new - not painted. I say that because VHT was dull-ish looking and did not settle visually as nicely. And it had a slight grainy feel...the Colorbond did not. It felt and looked like a new panel. So I ended up dyeing a lot of other interior parts (luckily, this interior was black). Dash, kick panels, seat belt covers, etc. Years of fade disappeared and the items looked new or close to new (can't get out scratches, lol~!) The finish was friendly to a light coat of Armorall to up the shine a notch.Only Drawback - Colorbond does not make any retro interior colors....not even white (at this time). There are dozens of boring 1995-2000 interior tans, greys, etc....the era of lame interior choices. They do offer a few random "hot" colors for customs. I do hope they expand into the retro 1950's-1980's market so that auto restoration enthusiasts can use this product to match the great reds, blues, greens, browns of those eras.Final words: Excellent adhesion, great looking results, fair price (more expensive than VHT but well worth it).

Works Well
Used this on the carpet in truck because of a bleach stain and it worked but it does dry alittle crispy.

Not good. Coverage bad..
The dark grey color was fine. Coverage was not good. I was changing a beige 4' octagon rug to grey. Gave it six light coats following the directions on the can. Can is now empty and the rug is a grayish beige. I'll put the rug in the garbage and buy a grey one.

Not a happy camper
This was not the light grey that I’d hope! It’s spritzed all over and didn’t blend end as well as I’d expected . Dissatisfied. Totally uneventful. ( see pictures) spots unfazed. Other parts of the carpet picked up the color but not the actual spotted areas .
