Prescribed by an ophthalmologist to be used on a daily basis. Great size count for the money.

Was advised by my eye doctor to start taking this over the counter product.Does it work...........honestly I can't tellThe pills are easy to swallowOther than that I won't know if it helps me or not until I go back to the eye doctor.

UPDATE: Because of the approaching expiration date, I put aside the bottle that I'd been using (with expiry of 2024), to open one of these. When I opened it, it had a strong rancid smell, so I won't be able to use it. The good news - when I contacted Amazon, they said that they'd send me a refund - no hassle, very quick & helpful.----------------------------------------Been taking this for awhile, at the recommendation of my eye doc. No complaints about the quality of the product - that would be a 5.Giving 3 stars because the expiration date is so soon (ordered in mid-October 2022 and they expire March 2023). 210 pills @ 2/day is a 3.5 month supply. Meaning that the bottle needs to be started by mid-December. Given that most people will order while they still have some in stock, this is cutting it close. Most vitamins that you order have at least a year shelf life (the bottle in my kitchen expires in 2024). They won’t turn to poison, but their potency can wane.Kicking myself for ordering 2 bottles because of the “great sale price”. Should have been able to expect them to last through July 2023.Will stick to buying from the brick and mortar stores from here on out, where I can see the dates.

I did not use this product. I found Areds2 in Canada for $37. The seller asked for $142.33 for an American Areds2. As I did not open the bottle, I am not impressed with the attitude of this seller when he/she refused a return label. As I bought this product through Amazon Prime, I am hopeful that I can have a return label for a product that I cannot use. The American Areds2 has different ingredients compared to the Candian Areds2. The count is the same for both products which is 210 units.

Recommended by my Dr. for 2 reasons 1) Very dry eyes 2) also I have Macular Degeneration. This really does the job. It’s delivered very quickly & far better price point than most Drug Stores.
