The sides may be cat proof but the bottom isn’t.
This pen is ok for the most part. It was definitely water proof until the cat decided to claw the bottom and while she didn’t destroy it it’s definitely not waterproof anymore. The sides also collapse if the animal tries to stand and lean on it while inside. The cats I’m fostering were feral so they were probably more “destructive” than a normal cat but the temperament is definitely something to consider. For a calm animal these are probably great. For more rowdy ones not so much but I’m mostly happy with it. It got me through this litter and hope to get at least a couple of more used out of it. The top opening definitely makes it easier to access the animal. It fits a full size litter box and has just enough room for a bed or blanket and food bowls. It works better with a smaller litter box.

Great for the cat.
I have an indoor cat but he can go outside in the pet playpen on my deck and get fresh air and sun, watch the birds, or just sleep and I don't have to worry about him. The one I got is not as big as before but with only 1 cat it's just fine. Easy to fold up and store for the winter.

Great for Kittens
I use this playpen as the home for my foster kittens, from about three weeks (when they outgrown the neonate carrier) until about six weeks, when it becomes sleeping area and home base for their explorations. I like that it has higher sides than most similar playpens, which means that much more time before I have to start sealing the top to prevent escapes! The zippers are easy to use and it is very rugged overall. I've used it hard for about a year now with no problems. It would be even better if the bottom were removable for easier cleaning, but the price point is such that if I got some really bad bug coming through my foster room, I could throw it away and buy another one.

Kittens loved it.
I liked the sturdiness of the pen. Not very big, I only have 2 seven week old kittens to put in it and they barely have room to play, especially with a small litter box in it. I did have to have the pen replaced a couple of days after I had it because the zipper started to become unraveled.

Durable and high quality
My cat has a spell of seizures every few months and this is essential to keep him safe during those episodes. Thus far, this has been the most durable brand I’ve found (I’ve tried about 5 brands)! I would have given this a FIVE STAR rating except this one seems to have a little seam of faulty stitching where the mesh detached from the zipper on the door; however, the mesh, fabric AND zipper are completely in tack!! I would like to see the manufacturer warranty this since it’s a stitching defect.

Sturdy and Safe PlayPen
It's been real hot in San Tan Valley AZ even for some feral kitties living in my backyard. I bring the little ones in, they are pretty tame, to give them a chance to cool down and sleep without having to look out for predators. Because of Covid-19 my county is not running their wonderful TNR program so I feel I have to at the very least help these poor little ones have a somewhat better life. This playpen is helping me do that. I am happy that it is sturdy and they haven't been able to damage it in anyway.

NOT for active young cats with claws
I chose this product because it was the only one that promised to be "claw proof." It arrived quickly, and looked really cute and durable. Less than a week later, it had a new opening through the closed zipper. (detached from the mesh at the seam)I take partial responsibility as I might have introduced my hyper kitty to her new night time enclosure more gradually, but my patience was long gone with her night time antics, and this was hyped as "claw proof" The first few nights were calm, but after about 5 nights, she was back in my bed, begging for play and breakfast at 4:00 a.m.The reason for the 3 starts is for the total responsibility that the company took in helping me. They never questioned my lack of a calmer approach, and gave me a total refund - after I sent them the sad state of the door. This would be a great product for older, calm animals. Not tiny terrors. (14 months)

Perfect recovery suite for my cat
I ordered this to use for my cat after she had surgery and I needed her to not jump on to or off of anything. She was very comfortable with a round travel litter box I ordered on Amazon and a soft bed and her food. I think she liked that she could see through the sides while she laid down recovering. And I liked that I could access it from above, the entire top unzips, so that I could clean it out and not worry about her trying to escape. I think this would also be very useful if you had a litter of tiny kittens you needed to keep secure.
