Brush - Deluxe Oval 100% Wild Boar Bristles Extra Firm Wood Handle Bass Brushes

I've been looking for a boar bristle brush and I heard the Bass is a good brand.The handle is sturdy and the bristles are very firm. I should have read more reviews before purchasing it because I have thick hair and the bristles didn't reach my scalp when brushing which was a huge bummer.I ended up giving the brush to my mother who has short fine hair and it works great on her hair.***If you have thick hair this brush is not for you!I gave it 4 stars because the brush is well made, it just doesn't work for me.

The brush does not have as stiff a bristle as I wanted. My guess however, is that I expected too much for the type of brush it is. I cant fault the business nor can I fault the brush because it is a fine brush. However, this system of rating products does not allow for a neutral review. That is what I gave it three stars. The business and brush each get 5 stars. The experience is neither good nor bad but unfortunately 3 stars will rate against the business or product and that is not fair to either.

Received my brush just two days after placing the order with VitaminLife. It felt absolutely awesome going through my thick, coarse, natural African hair. Unfortunately, though, one of the small (decorative, I learned) screws on back of the handle was a tad bit raised above the wood and almost cut my finger. I immediately phoned VitaminLife (the vendor) and reported what happened. I told them I didn’t want to return the brush, which would have costed money AND left me without my new love. Tanaa, with whom I spoke, explained that their customers’ satisfaction was imperative; then she went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. Needless to say, VitaminLife will be the first source I’ll look to when making personal-care purchases in the future. Thank you, VitaminLife, and God bless!

Some of the bristles fell out the first time I used it, and still continue to but that isn't a huge problem. The finish is a little wonky and I'm not a fan of the exposed screws on the back. I wish they had been covered with epoxy or something. A very stiff brush, will penetrate the thickest of hair. Try not to get it too wet too often, the screws will rust and the finish will peal and form bubbles. I think it will last quite a long time.

I wanted a brush just like this, but didn't want to pay over $100. The bristles are securely set into the solid bamboo, rather than into a rubber pad. I have long hair that's about 50% grey. This brush makes my hair much smoother; it calms down the wayward grey strands. Feels great on my scalp, too. It helps to know that I need to brush my hair differently with this type of brush. I brush underneath first, from the scalp outward. Then I brush the rest of my hair in sections. To get rid of static, I twist my hair in rolls and let it fall -- no more static. Lovely.

After using this brush for awhile I can say that I am not impressed with it. The bristles never stop falling out so I decided to toss it out and continue my search for a great and useful brush.

This is a great hairbrush. I have very fine, thin, delicate hair and this brush is perfect for me. I was really unsure about buying it sight unseen, but I am very happy with it. I have used Bass brushes for years, I use them until I wear the bristles to a nub. I love this brush.
