Do Not Purchase This Product!I purchased this product thinking it was a heavy duty pole similar to the images shown, as you can see from my photo it is clearly not. It is certainly not heavy duty either, it would easily snap.Not only that, the product pictured above is faulty, the screw on the collar which you would tighten once extended so it holds just jumps back out of its thread and doesn't tighten making it completely uselessThe pole is cheap, the quality is poor, and the listing pictures show a completely different product entirely

I don't make many mistakes buying on Amazon but this proved to be the one that broke the rule. This purchase was a complete waste of money and I could kick myself for missing the other one-star reviews that should have warned me off. These are shoddy, cheap, inferior, poles that have very little practical use. The outer pole is blue metal, the inner, bright orange, the plastic fittings, black. As another buyer wrote; the collar between inner and outer pole is not securely fixed rendering it useless - the locking nut spins around so you cannot tighten the extended pole. There is some kind of plastic stopper/foot (I assume this is what it is) on the end but they are pushed so far into the pole that they are ineffective. Without an adequate foot, the metal pole itself rests on the floor - not good for the metal which easily scratches, not good for the floor it digs into.Compared to a pole we purchased from B&Q years ago - which is still in perfect condition - these are inferior in all respects. If only we could find a similar, quality product, on Amazon...

I bought these last July , and have just taken them out of the shed to use now the weather is getting better . On the first use , the sheets that were being dried had to be re washed as they had been in contact with the poles which had rusted where the upper part had rubbed against the bottom part when the poles were reduced in size .Galvanised rather than painted metal woukd have been better .

The poles that arrived did not look like this, they have a cheap white plastic screw to extend the length and not the twist and lock style shown in the photo - very disappointing, very inferior. They are metal, the lower part is blue, but the upper part is bright orange, the hook to go over the line is also white plastic of poor quality. Not as advertised at all.

Cheep and nasty , I ordered a set of two , one was broke and I thought I could glue it when I realised the broken part wasn’t in the packaging either , they are not heavy duty ones nothing like the pictures just cheep and flimsy

One arrived with a broken top and all three were of the older thumb screw type, nothing like the product pictures. I would think the 5 star review was self perpetuated. Go else where, not worth the hassle.

Unfortunately my first order got lost somewhere in transit however, the company was great at dealing with the issue and replied to my initial email within 24 hours. They apologised and offered to cancel the order and asked if I wanted to reorder the items.They arrived within a couple of days.These are easy to use and simple to change the height. They hook securely to the line.It gets windy where I live and I felt when using them at the highest point they were a little wobbly and looked to be under stress but once I'd lowered them a little; they looked sturdier and held the line well.Bottom line - yes, I'd purchase these again.

Sadly I wasn't impressed by these at all. No weight, difficult to tightened, flimsy & won't buy again. Not like my older pole that is everything these aren't. Also length is least 1.5ft shorter than my old existing pole.
