This dress is surprisingly fantastic as a costume and especially for the price!! Got it for a kids’ fairytale event and wore it right out of the packaging (after steaming). The ribbon for the “corset” tie is thin but held up -and held me- all night without issue, and it laces low enough for my long torso. There is a side zipper but the stretch of the dress is so nice that I didn’t even need to use it to get it off and on. Everything was sewn with great care and the quality of the fabrics is really remarkable! I was worried, as some had mentioned the attached gold “belt” stops at the side seams, that it might look odd, but between the tie in the back and the elongated hood, it really wasn’t that noticeable. The whole dress is lined and was warm enough to comfortably wear on a wintry night, but it’s still lightweight and, with the sheer sleeves, I’d imagine could be worn in warmer months as well. For reference, I’m 5’4 and b/w/h are 36”x29”x39”. The medium was PERFECT on me, especially after lacing up. The cut of the bust is generous but modest enough to wear with a normal bra. The back is longer than the front but doesn’t get in your way. I wore this with heeled boots but the photos are of me without shoes on - you can see that it falls to a perfect length in the front on me. I could’ve worn flats or heels and it still would’ve been great. I love any dress I don’t have to hem!!! (A rarity) All in all, this dress was perfect. It’s definitely a costume piece - I wouldn’t wear it to anything that isn’t “themed”, but it’s just right for what it’s meant to be!! The promo (first) picture of theirs is misleading with the dropped V-waist and the fabric pooling on the floor, but the others are more accurate to the actual item. 100% recommend this dress!!!

Bought this for a costume contest for my book club and it was perfect! It is true to size, and great quality. It was a tad on thick side but still great! Color was stunning!

I used the gown for a fairy costume. I cut the hood off to make room for the wings. It didn't fray. I wore it ALL day (6am to 10pm) and was very comfortable. It washes well and can be steamed. Highly recommend.

The dress was flattering. I was concerned since I have a tummy but since the back has ribbons that tighten or loosen the dress and the wait flairs out a bit, there is room in the dress. The quality is better than I expected. Polyester but still, it didn't stick to me as if it had static. The hood was large enough to sit on my head as I was walking. It hugged me in the right places. I'm a size Med-Large and 5'1. I didn't need it hemmed. It was about an inch or two off the floor.

I bought this dress because my cousin asked me to officiate her Halloween wedding, dressed witchy. It fit perfect! The material is such good quality, heavy, but not too heavy. I love how the dress hangs and flows. It’s so comfortable as well, I didn’t feel the need to change after the ceremony. The stress would be perfect for renfaire… In fact, I may wear it there this year!

It fits perfectly on me thanks to the laces. They're thin ribbon, but if you buy your correct size you shouldn't have any issues with them ripping or anything. They're not meant to be like a corset they're just meant to draw the dress in slightly so that it fits you the way it should. That being said this thing is 100% polyester and will be crazy wrinkled when you bring it out of the box. Hang it up and Spritz it with water and let the wrinkles fall out that way or wet a towel and throw it in your dryer on medium heat for about 15 minutes or so and then immediately hang it up and you should see all the wrinkles disappear. For reference on the sizes I generally wear a size 10 in pants and a large in shirts. I'm 5'5 and about 170, I have a mummy tummy but it kind of hides it in the dress. I'll be able to use this multiple times because of the quality. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.

I loved the feel of the material and the colour of the outfit -- it's really comfy. Bought a size up but it's a little short in the front (can see my feet) so maybe going up another size would have been better, but not a big deal. The chest area fits ok but would have been a problem if I was bigger busted.
