Cosmic Egg

A good rock album

This "Cosmic Egg" cd is another Black Sabbath,Purple,Zep,Bolan fans must buy,even something for fans of Black Keys,Supergrass,Jack White,Q.O.T.S.A.Also on occasion there's just a smidgeon of Muse,Reef,Kula Shaker & also touches of a Psych,Prog,Garage/Punk/Rock montage all wrapped up in the excellent "WOLFMOTHER" inventiveness.So crack open this cosmic Egg along with their earlier album/long player and enjoy the Rock.Wolfmother also featured on "Almost Alice" CD release in 2010 with the track "Fell Down A Hole" along with Grace Potter & The Nocturnals (White Rabbit),All American Rejects (The Poisen),Robert Smith (Very Good Advice),Shinedown (The Name Is Alice)and others.

OK it sounds like Black Sabbath and Led Zep. But it does not only sound like them, it is not out of place beside them it is that good. I've had the album for 12 months and it just gets better and better with each play.When I first heard Sundial on a mates system I thought it was Sabbath.I don't care if people think its old fashioned, retro, step backwards or whatever, for fans of those bands and others like them from that era it is a breath of fresh air. Long may Mr Stockdale continue in the same vein.Seems the Aussies are hell bent on keeping Classic Metal alive what with Airbourne who really must be AC/DC's illigitimate offspring!

Came much quicker than expected which was fantastic with such a brilliant album! Each song is unique and as captivating as each other, so this is definitely one, if not my favourite Wolfmother album! The only thing that confused me was that the song "In the morning" wasn't in the same place as it said on the list of tracks, so instead of it being at the beginning of side 'B', it was somewhere in the middle of side 'A'. Even with that, I love this album and would recommend it to anybody!

This could well be my favourite Wolfmother album. Great rock band playing great music.
