Having a mask is a must living in downtown Chicago with our sub zero wind chills. I like that this one is easy to put on as a neck warmer and you can pull up the top if/when needed. My previous Balaclava was very thick and while super warm it was either 100% on or off. This one however is light but does a good job at protecting from the biting winds. The ears have a sort of double layer in that you can pull the bottom face part over the ears then the top hood part can cover the ears again. So its a nice double layer over the ears.

Like it, and desperately needed it, did what I wanted it to do, protected my nose and chin, here and in Iceland, not by itself though, under the jacket hood. 2 things bothered me. One, it's not easy to find and pull hood up one handed or with gloves, but mostly I minded that it fogged my glasses something awful while walking in windy subzero temps. But I still love it!

I've tried all kinds of scarves, snouts and hoods. This is the first one that I've found that does a satisfactory job of keeping desert dust out of my lungs. The hood keeps my head nice and warm and my helmet slides on much easier.

So glad I bought this all them cold mornings of riding into work with a numb neck and chin could have easily been solved if I had bought this sooner. Definitely worth every penny.

Very nice product have been wearing it now for several weeks. With the job I have I have to stand out sometimes for an hour or 2 at a time unloading product out of my semi trailer into storage bins. Has been doing a very good job so far keeping ears and head warm.

I bought these as well as a different brand that is just a neck gaiter. These are much better than the other brand. At first I thought they were very thin and wouldn't keep me that warm, but sometimes I have to take the hat part off because I'm too warm! These also have the different material in the front for easier breathing which does help a lot. I work outside in the Midwest year around and I will definitely be buying more of these for the winters here.
