Pure Encapsulations Beta-Sitosterol, 90 Capsules

This product is amazing. I 100% recommend it for any man who may be having problems with their prostate due to it being enlarged. I am 66 years old and a diabetic with one kidney and a rare liver disease which will take my life. Whenever I went to the bathroom, especially at night when I felt as though I had to go quickly and a lot just to have problems getting started or stopping on and off and very weak stream. I have tried other products and nothing worked well at all. However, after reading reviews I decided I needed to try it. The best decision ever! After day two I was urinating like I did when I was 30 years old and my nighttime visits to the restroom dwindled down to maybe twice a night instead of six times and my sleep has been great. So, if you are having issues I urge you to buy this product bc you will not regret it at all. I know it’s something I’ll continue to take to keep everything working correctly.

I have been taking Tamsulosin (generic for Flomax) for several years now and am maxed out on the dosage. I subscribe to ConsumerLab and read a review on this supplement. They summarized studies that showed that this supplement does indeed provide some relief for the symptoms of BPH. These were not just "clinical studies" which are worthless, but were conducted under valid scientific testing procedures i.e., double-blind, placebo-controlled. Also this has been prescribed by doctors in European countries for several years along with other supplements such as saw palmetto. I have tried some of those without effect but this Beta-sitosterol has provided considerable relief from my symptoms of BPH. It does take a few weeks to begin to have some effect so don't give up on it after only a few days. ConsumerLab also does potency and purity testing on supplements to determine if a product contains what it says it does and does so without containing any dangerous contaminants. This is one of their recommended products. I have no reservations in recommending this product to greatly relive the symptoms of BPH.

Expect urine flow to be quicker on the third day. It MOST definitely started working by day #2 for me. I take on empty stomach twice a day. Edit: seemed to only kick in for a few days then went back to the way I was in the first place. Not sure why

I was getting up twice a night to use the bathroom. After just 2 days of taking this product, I’ve been sleeping through the night every night. This product really worked for me.

Hasn't made any difference

I've taken a LOT of supplements in my life for a lot of different hoped outcomes. Almost no supplement lives up to the promise of having an immediate impact. I'd put beta sitosterol up there with creatine in terms of how fast and definitively it works. I had gotten to the point over several years where it was sometimes difficult to start or maintain a stream which is fairly serious. I had tried stinging nettle and saw palmetto and had very limited results (hard to tell if they worked at all really). However, literally within one week of starting beta sitosterol I was almost back to completely normal in terms of flow. It exceeded every one of my expectations in a big way. I never thought a supplement could get me back to very nearly normal functioning. Right now the way i am using it is one capsule first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. I also take one saw palmetto pill at night (because i had already been doing that). I have no idea if the saw palmetto is working synergistically with the beta sitosterol or not. When I run out of saw palmetto I'll probably stop taking it and then see how my symptoms go. If I have to add it back I'll update my review. So far this is, by far, right up at the tippy top of the list of most effective supplements I have ever used. It has dramatically improved a situation that was getting progressively worse over time.
