I purchased this to make dehydrated dog treats as shop bought ones are expensive and full of additives. So far I have dehydrated, turkey, beef, chicken and duck. The machine is quiet and I was surprised that there was no smell when dehydrating meat so it was fine in the kitchen. Cutting the meat into thin strips and turning them once they take about 8 hours on 75 to dry out sufficiently . Dogs love the treats and I am happy as they are healthier options. Used about 8 times so far and all good. Glad I purchased this little machine.

Sadly, I had to return this item as the right side dried food faster than the left. When right was good, the left side was still wet.. Quite inconsistent temperatures. I’d expect this to happen after couple of years, but not at the start... Tried it three times and all were the same. I am sad, because I’ve been thinking about getting one for ages. Maybe it’s just lack of the draw :(

I use this all the time, year-round, for jerky. And at the end of the garden season, it's fantastic for drying out the herbs you pull up before the first frosts. I had parsley and oregano and basil and thyme and rosemary and sage and tarragon all winter long. Very easy to use. A little tricky to clean -- I end up putting all the trays into the dishwasher, lying flat, otherwise I can't get them clean with soap and water in the sink. But I really enjoy this machine.

I've only used the dehydrator for making treats for the dogs. They have no complaints. Will get around to using it for other things. It look good and would be okay for the kitchen top but my one is situated in the cabin at the end of the garden. Poor thing...

This is a nice, quiet machine. It doesn't heat up your kitchen. It does a good job of drying the foods. The timer and temperature controls make it easy to operate.

No instruction leaflet with replacement order. how do I get instructions .

Only used it once so far and quite pleased with the results though we’ve not done this before so expect to improve as we use it more. Nice and quiet, just the whirring of the fan.

So far I've only used it on wild mushrooms and chilies, works a treat, not noisy dries quickly.
