Audio-Technica ATW-1101/L Wireless Lavalier System

We're a smaller church, and we've been using this system for about a month now. We purchased it to replace an aging Audio-Technica wireless microphone that was finally failing (we've used it regularly each Sunday for about 15 years).The setup was really simple: you plug it in, you turn it on, and let the mic sync with the receiver. The on and off switch is the most difficult part (the old system used a slide button), so it's just getting used to how mute or turn off the system the first couple of times.The sound quality has been excellent. What comes through is clear and not overly "amplified". The old system had problems with the signal dropping every once in a while, but we've not had that problem with the new system. The Pastor is able to walk around, and there is no signal loss (particularly moving from the front to the back of the church).The challenge right now is how often the batteries need to be replaced. We're using basic alkaline batteries, so we may have to try a couple of brands to see what works best. Right now, we use the system for about 2 1/2 hours each Sunday, and we managed to get through three Sundays before I had to replace them.I've had several members tell me that they love the sound from the new microphones and how well they seem to work, which is really the best endorsement there is.

Had our first service in our chapel. No drop outs, clipping, or fading. The product seem to work very well. The lapel picks up very nicely. The signal seem to be strong and clear. The mute button is easy to use and quick because there are no buttons to slide. You just tap the button to mute on or off.Installation was very easy. Just make sure you turn the volume control in the back. It is factory set to the lowest setting so no sound will be broadcast.As far as the quality and feel of the product. It feels very solid and well built. The lapel cord is strong and thick enough to last.I do like how this microphone system uses AA batteries. Our last system used 9V. They are expensive and not as easy to find in rechargeable.Overall I am satisfied with the product.

Works perfectly!

The System 10 with Lavalier performs well. The reason for the 3 star rating has to do with how it was delivered. First, it was sent just in its original box, not in an outer protective box. That in itself is not necessarily a problem, but the box was not sealed. The item appeared to have been a returned item as evidenced by the plastic wrapping around the components. Also, the "included in the box" listed 2 AA batteries which were not there. Perhaps someone helped themselves to them along the way, or when the item had been returned they were not included.

We've been experiencing some serious interference with radio waves sent out from a nearby power plant. We've tried all brands, all frequencies - all of it- to no avail. This unit immediately went in service and there has been NO, ZERO -no kind of interference. In addition, after 20+ years in audio I have NEVER had such a simple and easy to understand set up. How about plug it in and use it? It was that simple. Not enough stars in the rating for this product- should be 10 stars !

High quality lavalier system at very reasonable cost

It works really well. Impressive quality, sound fidelity, and sensitivity. However, it is not five stars because of battery life. If you use this all day, carry extra AA batteries. I do public speaking all day long and it takes about six batteries for one day of continuous use. May be the company can consider an upgrade and make a unit that can take additional batteries, like four at a time? It is frustrating to change the batteries in front of an audience.

Love this system. Have never heard a drop out or interference. We use these for wedding ceremonies all the time. The clarity is great, more bass frequencies and presence than some analog systems at this price point.Highly recommend you purchase the upgraded AT831 lav mic for it. Night and day difference from the one it ships with. You will feel and hear the difference between the light plastic one and weighted upgraded one.
