Overland Equipment Nantucket Laptop Bag

I needed a large enough bag for my commute into work. I take the train and sometimes, carrying multiple bags on public transportation can be a pain in the butt. My requirement was that the bag had to be large enough to carry my laptop, my mini purse, and shoes (from heels to walking shoes) and sometimes snacks or even lunch. I was worried that it might be TOO big but it's actually quiet perfect. It holds it all. I love the black on black colors (even though the description was Black/Dusty Blue, thank goodness I trusted the images posted) and it's very very sturdy. My only complaint is that the laptop (neoprene) sleeve is big enough to hold 15.5" laptops but mine is smaller and thinner so wish it could have been a smaller fit/more snug. But over all, really happy with the purchase!

Bag is not as roomy as I thought it would be, and it's a little short--some textbooks fit okay in this, others stood up too tall. The material is light, and while not attractive, it's not ugly either. Laptop sleeve is flimsy, as was noted by other reviewers (definitely not the neoprene that was in previous versions of this bag). My main problem is that the straps fold over and are just not comfortable. I don't know why they couldn't let them just be flat straps instead of stitching them funny.

I love overland equipment items. they last forever, look great and are really functional for me. a much beloved oe tote was stolen from my car last year and I was heartbroken. I decided to purchase a more professional oe bag instead of this one. it was the wrong choice! once I broke down and decided to buy this bag, I haven't used another bag since. it is roomy, well made, holds the ipad, knitting, files for work, a makeup bag full of various chargers and so much more!! I love this bag and am so glad I decided to splurge on it. well worth it!

I'm a teacher and a graduate student, so I needed a bag for school that would have plenty of space for my laptop, stacks of papers, and books. But I'm also a mom, so I wanted the bag to serve many purposes for our family (diaper bag for multiple kiddos, travel bag, etc.). This bag is so well made and it looks like it will hold up for a very long time. The construction is sturdy inside and out, and I love that the laptop compartment is padded on both sides. The straps are very strong and they are also comfortable on my shoulder. I'm very happy with this purchase!
