This product is made for finger nails, my wife accidentally put it on my foot for dryness and cracking, she had a jar of this product that was about 2 plus years old, she thought it for skin, I noticed that after noon were my feet were dry and cracking my feet were as smooth as a baby's but, that is when I decided to order some more jars of the ointment for my dry skin. In other words this stuff is amazing/awesome.

Best all around hand/foot (and hoof?) cream I've found.
