Almost a great knife
I have had this knife for a few months now, and I like everything about this knife, except:1. The blade edge chips easily. Out of the box, the blade edge was perfect. I immediately used it for some light duty tasks, such as opening letters, a single plastic tie-wrap, heat-shrink tubing, etc. After about a week of this, I noted poor cutting on a piece of paper, and a magnified inspection of the blade edge revealed a small chip towards the blade tip, and a much larger chip farther back.I sharpened and honed it until the blade gleamed. I used the knife again on the same type of items. After about a week, the blade had 3 chips in it.I sharpened it again, then used it to cut up 2 medium sized cardboard boxes, upon which immediate examination revealed chips again!I sharpened it a third time, and just carried it every day, for use on those day-to-day issues that we all have. After a couple of weeks, it again had little chips in the blade edge. So I gave up.I would have returned it, but all of my fooling around stretched past Amazon's return window.I have 5 other folders with D2 blades, and have not seen this problem. Perhaps my specimen had been heat treated too hard?2. The detent is incredibly stiff. It is nice to have a tip-up knife be secure, but this is rediculous! I will estimate that each time I open this knife, it takes an average of 3 tries. After a while, I developed a technique of holding it that improved it to an average of two tries per opening. Sometimes I will get it open on the first try.I thought that repeated opening cycles would reduce the force needed to open the blade, and it did, but after a few months of EDC, the improvement is not very noticeable.I figured that I would just take it apart and tinker with the detent ball in a way that would greatly reduce the required opening force, but considering my problem with the chipping of the blade edge, I think that I am done with this item.

Badass little blade
3inch D2 blade with a slicey full flat grind and thin behind the edge. titanium frame lock. Milled pocket clip. Ceramic bearings and detent ball on a hardened steel inset. SUPER RAD! I could do without the carbon insert and plan on making my own copper or brass one to put in it's place. I absolutely love the design. My only complaint is that due to the handle shape, you gotta hold it a little funky to get a solid flip open.

BUY ONE!!
This knife is excellent. Bearings, titanium, D2, and perfect centering. The carbon fiber really sets it off! Will be buying more from two sun!!
