Carlos Sky Mouse/Hamster Cage with 3 Levels and 7 mm Wiring

Bought for my Syrian hamsterPros:-larger than RSPCA recommendation, and is the largest wired hamster cage that I have found-the wood is very thick and sturdy, unlike platforms/ ladders in most cheaper cages-large doors so you can play with your pet and clean the cage easily-can easily take the top mesh section off of the cage and use it as a playpen for your hamster-can be used for future pets as is sturdy and large enough for many other rodents-deep dishes allow sufficient bedding for hamster to burrow and feel safe-bar spacing fits my hamster's current wheel and hanging toys, despite his old cage bar spacing being larger-although this cage is tall, it is broken up into sections and has lots of floor space, so your hamster will be fairly safe if they climb and fall-my hamster is very active and uses all of the floors of this cage! If you put something interesting on each floor, this will make them more likely to engage with each levelCons:-no building instructions, but was easy to work it outSuggestions:-for hamsters, I reccomend fall-proofing this cage by putting platforms above the holes where the ladders go-I'd recommend using zip ties to further secure the cage walls together, just to be safe when taking apart for cleaning-would not recommend housing pairs/groups of dwarf hamsters in levelled cages like this as they can get territorial and fight, but the one unit version of this cage may be sufficientI would definitely reccomend this cage. I am thankful that there are companies like this who manufacture cages with animal welfare in mind. Please help support manufacturers who produce cages like this, rather than companies who focus on designing "attractive" cages which appeal to children.Overall, brilliant!

I wanted to give this five stars because it really is great for Syrian hamsters but there were just a couple of reasons I only gave it four. One was that in order to make full use of the deep trays, and to prevent my hamster falling through the gaps for the ramps, I ended up making bedding retainers/fall preventers ie upside down wooden boxes with tabs to keep them in place. Would have been nice if something like that was supplied with the cage! Another improvement would be more scores in the ladders to help my hamster climb more easily. Other than that it really is great. My hamster seems happier. No bar biting so far and other than day one, no monkey barring. My hamster is using all three levels. It is great to have so much space for deep bedding and enrichment and an appropriate size wheel, and I like the large doors.

This cage would be on my priority list if the manufacturer had not used wooden ladders.This cage would have been a dream home for my hamster if only the cage had plastic ladders instead of wood.Wooden laddersand any other wooden items need to be thrown away when chewed or when the pet passes away, what then as you cannot put another hamster in the cage with no ladders!So I am deducting 2 stars but only cause of the ladders making this cage not practical.Shame as this would have been my ideal cage but will wait until some manufacturer makes a cage like this with reusuable ladders. Shame really.

This is a great cage, very large. it is well over the minimum of 450 square inches that a hamster needs. It also has a deep base so that you can put in enough bedding for your hamster to burrow. It is easy to clean. We didn't have any problems with our hamster falling down the gap where the stairs are. When he fell, he would get right back up again.The only downside is that its a bit hard to build. The instructions were not clear. Once you actually figure out how to make it, its not difficult, but figuring it out is not the easiest! Some of the pieces were a bit difficult to get into place, but just remember, its not a delicate cage, so its okay to shove it around a bit.The delivery was nice and quick, I had plenty of time to get the cage set up before my hamster arrived!I assume it would work for guinea pigs, as long as they got time outside, since it is huge.

Amazing my hamster loves this cage, each level is styled differently and styled around my hamsters natural environment so it makes her feel more at home

Would not recommend for the following reasons:Had to tape a huge crack at the bottom base of the cage, as it was wide enough for a hamster to squeeze through.This cage came with no instructions, but was easy enough to assemble by using the amazon picture as a guide.The issues are:The doors are very difficult to open and closeThe ladders are steep even for a full grown Syrian, and might struggle to get up or down them first few times around.My hamster chewed a hole through the bottom base, and escaped so she's now in a holding cage.

Wir halten in dem Käfig mit drei Volletagen und einer Halbetage ein kleines Rattenrudel (3 Tiere).Lieferung und Verpackung einwandfrei, ein kleiner Mangel an einer Bodenwanne wurde sofort behoben bzw. ersetzt. 👍Der Käfig bietet viel Platz für die Tiere und die Käfigeinrichtung. Unsere Ratten benutzen die Leitern zwischen den Etagen gerne, oder klettern direkt über das Gitter hoch und runter.Praktisch ist, dass man den Käfig komplett auseinander nehmen kann, wir machen das zur wöchentlichen Reinigung. Ich habe lediglich Kabelbinder an den Gittern angebracht damit sie dauerhaft stabil zusammenbleiben, weil ich sie nicht jedesmal komplett auseinander bauen will.Für den Preis ein guter Rattenkäfig.

Der Aufbau war einfach, bis auf das Podest, bei dem die Beschreibung nicht besonders gut verständlich gemacht ist. Optisch ist der Käfig nicht schlecht und unsere Tiere fühlen sich wohl.Schade ist, dass die Fronttüren auf der obersten Etage sehr klein sind und man größere Sachen von oben rein legen muss. Bei meinen 1.60 ist das dann schon nicht mehr ganz so leicht.Die Stege, die die Etagen verbinden, sind sehr steil und unsere Tiere rutschen eher runter, als zu laufen. Wir haben die Stege mit Antirutschfolie veklebt und die Steigung etwas verringert. Außerdem fällt das Streu von oben immer runter, weil die Öffnungen keinen Rand oder dergleichen haben, aber auch das lässt sich mit ein wenig Arbeit beheben.Grundsätzlich bin ich aber sehr zufrieden mit dem Käfig.

Schöner Käfig mit artgerechten Maßen und Mäuseverdrahtung (beides zusammen ist sonst schwer zu finden). Auch schön das der Käfig erweitert werden kann.Durch die vielen und vor allem großen Türen, lässt sich der Käfig leicht reinigen und auch mit größerem Zubehör bestücken. Auch bequemer Kontakt zu den Tieren ist so möglich.Aufbau für eine Person bisschen schwierig aber durchaus machbar.Einziger Verbesserungsvorschlag: Bodenwannen aus durchsichtigem Plastik wären für eine bessere Beobachtung der Tiere perfekt!

Die Lieferung erfolgte schneller als erwartet bzw. angekündigt.Der Käfig ist tatsächlich größer, als er auf den Bildern wirkt. Die Türen sind schön groß, gehen nur etwas schwierig auf und zu - aber dafür sind sie dann auch gut verschlossen.Alles in allem unschlagbares Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis.Haben nun 7 Ratten darin beherbergt, sie fühlen sich wohl u haben ausreichend Platz auf 3 Etagen :)
