They work and solve a specific problem
I bought these to put new ends on Ethernet cables that had lost the little plastic clip that holds them into the switch, router or computer. The old (now clipless) network cables plug snugly into the female end of these cables, and I can wire or tie-wrap the old cable to the mounting holes in the extension cables. A lot of trouble for such a kludgy solution, you may think, but the existing cables run through walls and floors for 30-40 feet, and the time and effort to replace the cables would be considerable.

Does not work as intended
To be fair, the maker adds clearly in the Amazon notes that this item cannot be used on two devices at the same time. I get that. I wanted a router plug that would allow me not to keep switching out the ethernet cables of my two PC's I run separately, one for personal and one for work use. But despite every permutation I could conjure, this simply fails. Neither PC even recognized it when it alone was plugged into a single slot. It seems well made, and I wish it could have worked as I needed it to. So other recent reviews seem to agree.

Despite being told otherwise, this does not allow me to easily switch between two different modems. It requires i unplug cable internet and plug in the dsl and vice/versa.. and in addition to that I have to restart my computer each time. So if like me you wanted to use this for that reason. Didn't work.

Broke
Worked great for the first month or so but then noticed that my computer internet kept disconnecting and my printer couldn’t be found (the second connection). Shortly after that it stopped working completely. Seems like this is pretty common. Would not buy again

Worthless As A Splitter
You can't connect to the internet on both devices at the same time with this splitter. Might as well just unplug the one and plug in the other when you want to use it. Useless.
