I received this item quickly. I can say that the "illusion ball" itself is fantastic. Does it spin forever like an Euler's disc? No. Does it spin a long time? Yes. A good, hard spin -- timed with a stopwatch -- goes just over 20 seconds before it starts noticeably slowing, but then it goes a total of 56 seconds before stopping completely. Very gradual slowing. The ball-bearing mechanism provides a smooth spin with a pleasant "whirring" sound. And the grooves are cut deeply, but smoothly, into this hypnotic heavy ball.The "carrying bag" has been improved: it was originally pretty flimsy canvas, with dyed stripes that did leave some dye-color transfer. Not good. HEILANTE, the seller/manufacturer, has replaced these with natural canvas bags that have a thick, heavy velvet lining that has absolutely no problems at all. Kudos to them for constantly seeking to improve their products!The silver ball is definitely what you'd expect from a sort of "brushed stainless" type of cabinet hardware -- it's got some shine, but is more "matte" than a heavy-mirror-type chrome reflection look. The blue also has some "muted metallic" qualities to it, and pulls a bit more toward a greenish blue -- if you have access to a Pantone color chart, it's reasonably close to PMS313.Overall, very happy with this item and seller!

I put this on my desk and I find myself twirling it often. It's heavy so it doesn't wander around when I bump it with the mouse or if the cat bats at it, it's silent so I can enjoy it when I'm on the phone, the bearing is smooth, and it's not magnetic so it doesn't screw up my computer. It's mesmerizing but unassuming at the same time. Love it.

This was a complete impulse purchase, but I’m so glad I bought it! It’s really beautifully engineered and quite substantial. I bought it in gold, and it’s quite stunning. My coworkers were very taken with it and wanted to know where it came from. It’s really a nice little conversation piece and would make a great gift for anyone. But this one is mine!

It does what it's supposed to & it is mesmerizing to look at but I wish it would stay spinning for longer than about a minute. Still a neat little gadget for your desk.

My son ordered this for himself; he doesn't really need anything, or want 'things', but contrarily he loves cool stuff. This is a great gift for those awkward boy years when they aren't into Legos any longer and love gaming- and you want to give a gift that is NOT a gift card, but something tangible!

I love having this on my desk but I dislike using it. It gives a nice aesthetic but it's louder than expected when it spins. Almost as loud as a normal fidget spinner, both of which you don't want to listen to in work environments.
