Sense I purchased, I have been using the pastels pencils with my Stabilo Carbothello and Faber-Castel Pitt pastel pencils. Great selection of colors and make a great starter set for an artist that wants to start using pastel pencils but does not want to take a big hit of the other two brands I mentioned. The sharpen pretty good on a hand crank sharpener but I use a knife on all my pencils. I recommend the 48 pieces set

I have used Stabilo Carbothello pencils and used these for add-on colors that the other set didn't have. These pencils have a lot of brighter colors in the mix which i liked a lot. They blend well with Stabilo, Pan Pastel, Faber Castell and NuPastel. I use and electric pencil sharpener (Exacto Schoolpro) and they sharpen to a beautiful point without breaking.

These arrived quickly and in great shape. They work well especially if using alone. Not really buttery - more firm. If using with soft pastels for definition they tend to remove the soft pastel first before they leave any marks. Not a deal breaker for me though.

These are the best pastel pencils I have ever used. I love them. I wish they had a 72 color set. The colors glide on smoothly and there is less chalk dust than there are with other pastel pencils. There is a good color range with each color fairly represented.

I love coloring with these pastels! The colors are bright and I use them to shade my Zentangle drawings.

Nice pastel pencils. Not too hard or too soft. Blend and sharpen well.

Totally thrilled with this purchase. Having been miserly with the few stubs I had left but look out black foam boards here I come ! The richness of the colors inspires creativity. Close to $2.00 a pencil but the outcome from each color makes this a great purchase.

Amazing product. I will have to reorder when I have used them up. I love working with pastels (bulky kind) but the pencils give so much more control with details. I absolutely love it. Glad I got them!
